Not mine, but my friend Che's that he used on his trip commemorated in the motorcycle diaries.

Alta Gracia, Argentina.
They are looking for somebody who knows these bikes to restore it.

Mass murder is dropping atomic bombs on civilians and napalm on little girls. Viva la revolutiaon.. viva Che! :)

TGT, bro, I really must suggest that you start riding with a seat on that post.

The Cuban army was mostly composed of 16 year old kids that joined out of economic necessity.

After the revolution when the army was liquidated, Che had his office rearranged with the desk facing the courtyard window so he wouldn't have to get up or turn around to witness the slaughter.

Real nice guy!

Yes, tell me more about 1967. And how f*#ked everything is because of communism. Please.

anywhoo: my new bike (a people's bike, if you must), carried my prole self up to yon pass with great alacrity today, after work. I reckon it's about 5x downhill speed versus the rate of uphill slog. My steel-frame carries the downhill faster, but the light little coozy R700 sweeps me up and tipples me down just so nice. Hooray for bicycles! Hooray for human power!

My titanium Capitalist special, with the comfy Brooks saddle, easily achieves a 1-10 speed ratio on Hwy 39

yes, forget the politicking, talk shop to me!

And yes, TGT, your polar-shift vs me, coupled with your road-riding, helps drive this people-powered fascist-eater up those high passes. Thanks, man. And btw, my bike was produced with zero emissions (that is, zero emissions of humanity back into the ether in service of my aluminum frame). Just kidding, they're all cruelty-bikes! Hahahaha! Living at the top is great, especially without a conscience!

I have taken the above bike up Interstate 80 East to the Vedauwoo, then the VU road to the HJ Road, then the Headquarters Rd, then a difficult up hill M Bike trail to the Lincoln Head and down the Interstate West to home.

These are the main ones. About 2,500 miles YTD on the road bike.

It turns out that, unlike climbing (where I live), you don't have to drive anywhere to get a great workout/adventure.

My old Bike

My old bike is my old friend
I hope he's with me in the end
If I ride off a precipice
Then the good earth we shall kiss
When they recover our remains
Our mangled handlebars and brains
They'll cremate both of us as one
Our days of riding finally done
