Knocko,
Are you the same that has the climb in Owens River Gorge, named for you?
The Climb "Come On Knocko" always comes to mind when I see a post from you.

Bikes is great fun and I've lost more than one 5.11 crusher, to the road and dirt.
As a limper I have used what ever I've got to get around if it's possible.
Mostly to get to Millbrook, Gunks ; (The White Cliff, web site is amazing)

Thanks for the info JayBro and Srbphoto!

Those bags look nice! I've seen the MASH stuff via the fella that built my Pajaro fixtX-bike, Rick Hunter. I've learned a lot on that rig and long DH's can get you all discombobulated but builds good strength and engrams!!!

Just picked this up from shop this afternoon. Took it for a quick Singletrack spin before pitch black. Broke my old Santa Cruz, so they sent me a brand new 5010 CC replacement. Got new components and wheels and viola, new ride.

Thanks Mike. I'm real pleased with how Santa Cruz handled the warranty.

Since the old bike was a 26" Blur TRC frame...

I built the new 27.5 frame up from scratch (re-used only the rear shock and saddle). Pro Deal from Crank Brothers and heavy discounts through Incycle (thanks Troy!) made it affordable.

Now, I'm taking all the components from my old bike and building a 26" Carbon hardtail - should be less than 21 lbs.

Two bikes for one!

Howard, are you using your bike as a bridge across that rut, or was it a bunny hop that failed?

Bertin, Reynolds 531 double butt. I gave it away to an interested kid three years ago, after owning it for 37 years. Got a new bike in NZ while I was in wine school; man, didn't know what I had been missing until I got the new one. Still, this bike went a lot of places with me and was well loved.

T Hocking: a green KZ 1000, circa late 70s? I had one of those. Riding it fast was like constantly free soloing 5.10. Wasn't going to end well...

Upgraded to this puppy in late July; Ibis Mojo 3 with 140mm of squish front and rear, Eagle 1x12 drivetrain, carbon wheels, dropper post and Onyx hubs. A much better fit overall than my previous 29er and more fun to ride :-) Now, just need to upgrade the engine and pilot ;-)

These DW plastic bikes are hella fun!
