The Executive branch has lied about so many things over these last years a
reasonable person feels safe to bet that they are lying about jadehelm.
Everyone is asking why do it in Texas when there are uncounted mud brick
villages in Syria and Iraq full of ISIS thugs? Why not visit some of them
for a quick smash and bang bang operation then back to the aircraft carrier
for beers.
Oh wait the president just ordered one op just like that over the weekend.

civil disturbances most would agree computer controlled guns are a very
bad idea in cities.
Do not ask 'What happens when a self-driving car meets a road rage driver.

You know - sometimes the answer is staring you in the face, and you completely miss it...
The firearms industry is a $30 billion plus yearly market that continues to grow every year, and one person who is profiting from these sales is someone who is nothing more than a cheap hustler by the name of Ronnie Anderson.
Most people who are capable of objective thinking would agree that it just plain dumb to uncritically accept the claims of someone who directly profits from the goods he is attempting to sell, especially on a climbing forum like Supertopo.
Oh, and another thing - there's two reasons the military doesn't habitually blow these militia ninnies out of their socks during manufactured confrontations:
1) The U.S. Armed Forces are understandably reluctant to shoot U.S. citizens merely because they have a weak grasp upon reality and, furthermore,
2) Killing civilians, especially women and children, is a guaranteed way to attract even more sympathizers to any nitwit cause.

gee, johnnyrig - if you had read earlier posts of mine, you would recall that I'm not unacquainted with firearms, and am actually a pretty good shot.
Furthermore, I've never criticized those who use firearms for target shooting or hunting purposes.
AND I watched in horror as the Patriot Act legislation was rammed through Congress by the Dubya Bush gang, and passed what was it? unanimously? unread. Again, the erosion of your rights originated during the Bush Administration, and I don't recall you or Ronnie objecting at the time.
Regardless, where my quarrel with Ronnie comes from is his love affair with large capacity magazine automatic weapons complete with additionally lethal accessories and his apparent eagerness to use them against the very people who are least likely to represent any physical danger to him.
His thought processes are delusional, and regardless of your personal feelings, the fact remains that he is making a living out of pimping weapons that are designed solely to kill people.
You're welcome to your opinion about Ron, but if I want to nominate someone as a respected spokesperson for the defence of Democracy, his name is going to be close to the bottom of the list.

Jonnyrig....less restriction? There is already virtually no restriction when compared to the rest of the civilized world. Oh....but we're not civilized, we live by the law of the west. Shoot first and answer questions later. I only wish that more gun nuts showed some evidence of multiple ball possession. Ron is the exception....it would take more than one slug to take him down.
