Did anyone realize that there is a vacuum cleaner museum? Me neither.

I just transferred my mom's 55 year old Lady Kenmore Whispertone to one of it's supporters. It won't be in the museum, but Hans has all the late 1950's and early 1960's models in his private collection (now that he has my mom's).

The Good Places
Feb 21, 2017 - 07:58pm PT
"US Vice President Mike Pence has been using the cover of night to prep the White House for his eminent succession to the Presidency, under the 25th Amendment.

He was bushed, worn out by seven A.M., after spending the night loading file drawers with his new letterhead, reams of it. Pens? Sure, personalized "President Pence", with a tiny wire coat-hanger logo, a tribute to his rapid political ascendency based solely on throwing sand in the face of womens' rights.

I coerced the sleepy-eyed Mr. Clean to slam a double shot espresso with a Red Bull backup, and, shazam! he woke right up and became quite voluble. He picked up eggy bread in a shaking hand and talked with his mouth full. "My public face is one of steely determination," Frank, he said rapidly. "But, inside, I'm really full of regret, of tr...trepidation, trepidation."

Poor guy, you piggy-back central nervous system stimulants on sleep deprivation, and there's generally no secret these politicians can keep. At least that's my experience.

So what's Pence's deep, dark secret? A hit and run fatality? Being in on a conference call to the Kremlin with General Flynn? No, worse! Something sexual, wouldn't you know? "My wife...uh, I...uh, we...uh, I touched her, uh..., uh, before we were married."

Who, what, when, where, why? The five blind monkeys of journalism swirled in my head. But he'd clammed up. Tight. His tremor succeeded in dumping most of the Red Bull, the sticky kind, with sugar, on my I-Pad. Oblivious, he rose, and exited, leaving me, journalistically speaking, of course, unconsummated." -BGW

I took a walk in downtown and caught the bus to and from the creek and Applegate Park. My knee's less painful, but I didn't want to stress it.

Sure was a good day, even found a rainbow.

Flip Flip, we don't care 'bout numbers with decimals & fractions much.

Numbers packed with good smoke, that's another thing.

Something Long Ago posted recently about Pratt...humility speaks for itself.

It's not my doing, that's for sure. I've had much help.

I saw one of those Volvos with 283 Chevy engine installed in the back. It was pretty fast.

Hourglass Field (1959).

You can go bigger and later, if you buy the book.
