MFM, the last one of Gnome in camo is exquisite.

I might as well post this here on the Flames, as this is about flames in the making, sort of.

Wow! It is just so incredibly beautiful up here in Fairbanks, even with the skeeters
settling in for a long drink. And the entire range was visible today although we
had a bit of smoke in the air. It doesn't get dark now, and everyone is doing things
until we are so exhausted we must get some sleep. I was pulling weeds at
midnight last night, and then decided to be responsible and rest for a while.
We get a lot done! And Solstice parties are being planned. I've been gathering
kindling for the Mountain Dragon Fire Pit. And mosquito coils, too. I've cleaned
and weeded the entire area, and the dragons are ready for people.

I hope that sometime in the future, you will all get up here for visit, or
to have a place to sleep as you prepare to head off on a climb.
The architect is designing an enclosed, 4-season sleeping area for
hammocks to be slung. And there are suitable hammock-friendly
trees, too. For those of us with creaky old bones, there will be a
couple of guest rooms. There is a lot to get done, but the vision
remains sound.

It is just incredibly beautiful, especially once you get out of town.
Oh, hey, Mouse? Congratulations on the great improvement in the
stair climbing. You are well on your way to being back on the stone. Bravo!

Always nice to hear your exploits.

Exquisite means beauty delicately expressed.

SA Gnome is just a cover name. He's on a delicate mission.

I Can't Say anything about that, of course, but I can critique that image.

It took me TEN LONG MINUTES this evening to figure out what was there.

"Gnome" is Hardly Visible, but so is a large percentage of the image.

It's rather a perfect model. Not Gnome, the idea of exquisiteness.

Hardly Visible is beautiful, even if he is or is not Gnome.

Would it surprise you all to find out that "Gnome" is really Hardly Visible?

He's not just a gnome, he's the world's biggest troll.

Interruption.

Sorry. Gremlins.

Now, this image we speak about is a tropical image, correct?

That's how I see it.

I bet most do, and the rest...meh.

If it were in the state of Alaska, it would be easy to do something of a Santa Claus nature, though he's an elf, not a gnome, I know.

We could set up a shoot based on the old galoot.

We could shoot it in your home or I know a guy in Nome...etc blah-blah etc.

Dream on.
Flame on.
Who do ya put the blame on?

I'm allergic to voyaging afar
I'm pretty ok in a car
But AK is all buggy
And the air is so muggy
I am much better off where I are

I would consider Australia.

^^^Seems unfair to have blasted Gordo as mere hotel keep...

Welcome to the Magnificent Brokedown Palace Hotel.

Warren Harding bivied here.
He brought his own wine to table.
Bit of a snob.

RFK once sat in the bar, drunk as a skunk,
telling lies about J Edgar and Hoffa and Marilyn.

Hans Gmoser tried to sleep here one night,
but was kept awake and itching by bed-bugaboos,
or so he claimed.
He spent the rest of the night on Mrs. Harding's floor.
Next to Batso.
Elvin Bishop stayed here and took the pledge the next day.
Hasn't had a drop since.

Todd Gordon wouldn't set foot in the place.

Napoleon from Naples ate in the dining room.
He ate enough for an army that night
and then he walked the check.

Dillis Millis posted about the Bivy Ledge,
the official name of the dining room/refectory here at MBP, on Yelp,
saying, "I barfed on the check when I was paying
and they gave us our the meal for free.
It would have been easy to have walked the check,
but this was WAY more fun."

Ottowa Doug climbed the NW Face with only bolts.
Our insurance specified no free climbing on the exterior.
He used the elevator on descent.
"I was scared shitless in that cage for six floors of hell,"
he claimed before a judge.
"But the bolt route was spicy."

3-4 pairs, more than 20 yrs ago, & I made a mess of things. . .
so that is why I doubted you.
That was a big mistake. Apologies and a beg your forgiveness please.

I have just sent a paypal payment and am waiting on some 25 year
old used shoes from Mnt Prj,
I have a small foot that I broke all to fck, yrs ago it is almost a true 39.5 while the
normal, full range of motion, left foot is a 40.5. So that's is what I ware.
With a plastic/leather orthotic stuffed into the right shoe, to take up space.
I no longer make the claim that :
"if it is sticky and stays on my feet I can climb in it"
I'm to old for that hero schst, I need stiff board lasted properly fit climbing shoes.
How old are those Aces, size 8?
That is the 40.5 thing do you have 7.5 in a right shoe or boot?

When/if the purchase off the m project, gets to me if,the Scarpas,
( I hope they fit ) need a sole can you do the fix ?

Anyway I'm missing - lost in my mess,

I, @ 5 foot 2 inches, at best
( back then it was more close to 5 foot then I like to admit )
I came so close to taking that fall,
it remains A nightmare that I have in times of high stress.

To explain; there was, in the camp ground of note,
a huge thing that hung over the place like a sail.
A visor or tiers, that flexed, as you crossed it,
to escape past to a sloping top.
But just before that top, this visor was unattached for a short span the crux,
grasping At grit,
all palms & shjt,
while bending over, loosing foot purchase,
screaming did help, as I had to belly flopp up, three inches at a time,
till I could throw a heel up, so slimed on my side,
a mile from any good pro, and the bad pro threatening
to expand the tier, & under force of a fall rip the off rock .

They say it fell down?
What did? the whole visor/tier?
Is the dihedral, leading to the business, still there?

Repeating myself, with that loose lips crap.
Hope you are well, that your pain is not swelling the knees

Potrero was not on the list, however, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Bulgaria and Hungary were. Offering up some net neutraility, Cleveland was not mentioned (nor Akron).

An Invitation to Lemming's Landing

Politicians, lobbyists, mass shooters, and zealots,
Pedophiles and corporations selling guns and bullets,
There's a place that you can be,
Satisfied and worry free,
There's an open invitation for all those so repellent,

Step right up and feel the breeze,
No one cares if you're a sleaze,
It's your chance to be forgiven,
For the sh#t you pulled while livin,'
You can go out on your feet instead of on yer' knees,

So step right up now all you buggers,
To Lemmings Landing and meet the sluggers,
Step right up to the edge,
No back room deals to hedge,
Your admission has been paid by all the souls you've made to suffer,

Lemming's Landing is there there for all you partners in greed,
And there's never enough power to satisfy a politician's need,
For every psychotic killer,
And sociopath who loves a thriller,
The drop is long enough to think of what you've done before you bleed,

Now you've earned your invitation to launch from Lemming's Landing,
So step right up and step right off it isn't too demanding,
Now drop yer' cocks and grab yer' socks,
There's sharks down there below the rocks,
We'll give a little push so there's no misunderstanding.
