Peaceful. Relaxing. Did you run into any aliens out thataway?
I heard there were reports of rumors about gossip some folks were eyewitness to that indicated there were some flyin', purple hooblie-eaters spotted back in the mid-twentieth century out that direction.
Do not confuse with flying eaters of purple hooblies. There are no known purple hooblies.
zBrown thought he may have seen a purple hooblie, but he swore me to secrecy. heh
Only real proof I got about those purple critters was from one of Gil Favor's old trail hands.[Click to View YouTube Video]He never called them hooblies. They weren't ever hooblies. Who said that?

my favorite of Hooblies' is the one with the ferns. I'm calling it Life Among the Lichens.
Cause you know those lichens are busy busting up the rock, turning it into sand.
The place reminds me of the plains of Africa. Thank you Hooblie.

I post but must not burn the toast.
Kids are off today. Climbing on the Jude ish holiday, is this the fasting one?
Good grief it's mid September and I only have about seven pitches of new stone completed.
There is a lot of rock that needs to be at least rapped and climbed on that rap/toprope aid thing
that I've tried to stop doing.
It is like hero riot,no it is a heavy drug, it soothes my need to climb,but the risk is real.
Every time I get in over my head I thinks " jeez I need to find a clone, this is dangerous alone".
The n0OB,C4, is out . . . for the hand is surely fooked,
and the other very competent climber?
He showed up, with a water tote and no pack,
so I carried the freakin' load.
He can't see past my gut and scratched legs, old pack (better than none,DERP!),
Also my bad? (Not tight after ten feet) belay, and my general command of the vertices.
Is that right usage?
The vertical and I dance in a confounding way ,
but yes, some day I mayfly off some damn rock or cliff. . . Well, we all take that risk a bit.
I will continue to try to cajole some of this generations dreamers to get out with me.
I am not gettin' any younger.

What do they have to say about crows roosting?
Knowledge of another's thoughts is a given in conversation? Really? I know what you mean, I guess, I simply never thought about it, y'know? I can see how using "Nawmean?" is a conversational crutch to compensate for the speaker's lack of confidence in his ability to convey thoughts.
It cries out, "I may be stupid, but I have an opinion and that is blah-blah-blah. So, is it worth a dang?"
A simple verbal bow to one's listener might could mean sorta the same thing in another language, such as Japanese, as long as we're there.
Or it could mean, "This conversation is ended. You're off belay."Polite Beaver, unlike Polite Elephant, never forgets his manners.
Does anyone recall that old climbing rag, Off Belay? It was interesting, nawmean?

I saw our correspondent from Terrapin Station, Farmer Bruce the Suvivor, took a little walk on the wilder side, like hooblie did, and posted to his Facebook page.
Got enough selfies, Bruce? :0)
Still, it was good to see you out alone, communin' and stuff.
I need a good walk, too. Knees are painful and getting to the place I want to walk is just problematic. Something to do besides wait for my dental cleaning.
I had a great solo early-morning walk two years ago when the Rim fire was still active, on August 28, 2013. The grasses have only gotten sparser since then, I'm sure. And are much drier, I bet, too.

Is it proper etiquette to condole someone for their loss, even though you don't know who the heck passed? You just know someone did and nothing more.
I wonder wonder why...why do we do the things we always do without thinking?
Is it cuz we're maybe busy wonderin' about somethin' entirely different, even?
When a bear can't sleep in the winter, does she get up and go outside or stay inside walking in a small circle?
I'm glad I'm not a bear. Well, I am a Merced Bear, and I was a Bear Scout in Cubs.

However, it is one that is highly effective in targeting the hamstrings, spinal erectors, lower and middle back.
In addition, it helps to build grip and the forearms, making it a truly Herculean exercise.
The technique is simple, but the movement itself is quite a difficult one.
With your feet shoulder-width apart, bend at the hips, seize a plate in each hand and perform a standard deadlift.

Go to theWIkee page for my great uncle . . .He is one of the two Ernest Fooks, of Melbourne Australia, both artists, and Architects originally from Austria. Ernst Leslie Fuchs, is most likely Great uncle Ernst. He is the older one and died in 1985.. Tthe haggard Hippie? woe this is a strange cat , man look at that guy!
