Throwpie, that's one of the most creative shop jobs I've seen here.

The photo was in BooDawg's slide show, but I failed to get the gent's name.

He's not one of The Flames and that is all I know.

Rasputin was a lot tougher

Must have been all that vitamin D and turmeric

The blow to his head was bungled and failed to kill Trotsky instantly, as Mercader had intended. Witnesses stated that Trotsky spat on Mercader and began struggling fiercely with him, which resulted in Mercader’s hand being broken. Hearing the commotion, Trotsky’s bodyguards burst into the room and nearly killed Mercader, but Trotsky stopped them, laboriously stating that the assassin should be made to answer questions. Trotsky was taken to a hospital, operated on, and survived for more than a day, dying at the age of 60 on 21 August 1940 as a result of loss of blood and shock]Mercader later testified at his trial:

There oughta be a Steck stack.

And there oughta be a pencil-neck stack, a Stark stack (winter ascents only, Oh!), and a stack of dimes.

There is, according to the link, a Haystack Rock in OR.

Guess who got a statin recommendation?

The current evidence, therefore, indicates that when it comes to lipids and cardiovascular prevention, relying on LDL-C is an oversimplification and will not solve any problems in the long run. Many other factors have to be taken into account. Overemphasizing the role of LDL-C in order to increase the use of statin drugs is misleading and has to stop.

I used it {Turbo Tax} once

It didn't even have one of the forms I was required to file
Q&A format is re_diculous

My brother was a tax genius

I asked him if I needed help

Turbots have to pay a flat tax, according to my whackountant.

I have been taking Simvastatin for many years, and look at me!

I look like I've been using Devastatin™.

Statins are not necessarily bad

Especially if you get no bad side effects like muscle pains

Statins are potent inhibitors of cholesterol biosynthesis. They are effective in secondary prevention of individuals with CVD. However, the overall benefits observed with statins appear to be greater than what might be expected from changes in lipid levels alone, suggesting effects beyond cholesterol lowering.

Indeed, recent studies indicate that some of the cholesterol-independent or “pleiotropic” effects of statins involve improving endothelial function, enhancing the stability of atherosclerotic plaques, decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation, and inhibiting blood clotting mechanisms.

I was just taken aback because my numbers have always been good

💜💜💜💜💜

Watch that trademarking my friend. There may be unintended tax consequences.

And

My brother is dead so we can no longer rely on him. He did not die from heart disease, but rather from alcohol poisoning of his liver.

This is the cartoon version of balloon tamponing for ascites (gastrointestinal bleeding)

In real life it

Ain't that pretty at all (thanks Warren)

Essentially they put him in a coma for two days to do it

Copy this one. Delete the other one. Replace it with this one.

I've had several of these given to me by the hospital folk. It is known as an inspirometer.

The clear plastic item is therapeutic for pneumonia patients and others with breathing weaknesses.

The object is to blow into the tube to hold the ball at the pre-set level for a certain number of seconds, repeating this ten times per hour.

The green object is a percussive tool that, when blown into, produces a rattle and this loosens phlegm in the airway. It is adjustable for resistance, which increases the percussion. Also very therapeutic for the same type of patients.

Five hours of solid sleep.

How big a deal is that?

Very big, but not huge.

Just satisfyingly big-- talkin' 'bout a zucchini six inches long,
not White House size, but more enjoyable to most tastes.
