"Obscurity"

Unimportant and hidden away,
Seldom climbed and not the subject of spray,
These routes barely see the light of day,
And they lurk...

Up couloirs, gullies and bouldery gorges,
The toiling climber questingly forges.
The obscure ways might scratch some itch,
And thus make one's life more rich
Than doing routes that get climbed by hordes
Who don't climb seeking the same rewards
As those who make the long walk in
To climb where no one else has been.

Why Why Why?

On the old to do list;
I’m tired of being pissed
Fix water filter;
Blame the one who built ‘er
Download all da poems;
On da Mice an on da Gnomes
Equipment priorities;
In spite of da enormities
Chipper repairs;
Been losing all my hair
Generator brushes
Or to huskies I’ll say mushes
Main breaker switch;
Or jolted in the ditch
Jehoshaphat platt.com
Where’s the part C’MON!
sacramento area/ Electrical parts
Find da geezers and old farts
breakers fuses and supplies
It’s my new club now daze no lies
Find out if Shelby can get that kind of main breaker
I said if I was smart I’d be a liar and a faker

Rod's nephew was Bob (not the guy in the pool with no arms and legs). A pretty good guy. Didn't smoke as I recall.

OK I'LL FIX THE SIZES LATER, EH.

Bought some Rolling Rock the other day. Couldn't figure out why it tasted so bad.

Well - Rock related, eh?

We are not alone in our opinions that Rolling Rock no longer stands out from the big brands of Anheuser-Busch InBev. After the 2006 purchase, Rolling Rock steadily went downhill and sunk from the premium beer that Labatt's tried to make it to a swill indistinguishable from the 'Lite' beers of Busch or B
udweiser.

This was some good beer. Warblee would have sampled it if he could have gotten across the border.

I got a bird that whistles, I got a bird that sings and believe it or don't my first girlfriend was named Corinne

Thus every Rolling Rock bottle now sports the following pledge:
"Rolling Rock. From the glass lined tanks of Old Latrobe we tender this premium beer for your enjoyment, as a tribute to your good taste."

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/mystery-33/

I drank a whole lot of "Old 33" in the eighties. It was a DECENT BREW back in them days.
I believe it has been degraded in taste, as you say. But nowadays I don't drink enough beer to float a sponge.

And I've almost given up ice cream as well.

"Great American Banana Split Celebration, Latrobe, Pa."

Latrobe, a small city 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, considers itself to be the birthplace of the banana split.

In 1904, David Strickler, then a 23-year-old apprentice pharmacist at what became Strickler’s Drug Store invented the sundae,
which quickly became popular with students of nearby St. Vincent College, according to organizers of the Great American Banana Split Celebration.

This is held in the end of August, so it may be going on now...

I'll have Arnie's Army call your attorney, eh

BTW, how far is it from Syracuse to Latrobe? Well it's not like Peter Paul and Mary said, "500 Miles". More like 300.

Serling was born on December 25, 1924, in Syracuse, New York, to a Jewish family.

We wish you a merry jewish christmas

For decades Rolling Rock supplied a "Pony" bottle, a small or ladies size. These were a staple at the local NJ/Pennsi bars. There was real music, played in iconic Road House bars. The Stanhope House, remains.
There was also the the biker bar; Orphan Annie's, out towards Bernardsville in Sterling.& also a pit stop called Gasoline Ally by Meyersville.
The one road out that way; Long Hill, it was a good run from the the city crossings, A 45 minutes to the George Washington bridge.

Thanks, neebee.

Here's some more "soft."

I'd like to go to Facelift but haven't registered for a site yet. I should do that today if I'm to go, I suppose, now I'm settled again.
