1.2 is Clean and Godseye Sudoku Club.

No idea on 1.1, however. Maybe, "What is some ad hoc law student jam in support of free speech?"

She was called Dynamite Annie - I have no idea why. Never met her.

The guitar-harmonica man is country Joe Mac

The Sonora Nurses' Half Dome hike was a bust.

They took it all the way to the cables and decided it was too snowy/ cold/blustery to go further than the saddle.

This is the latest "poop" from Sis in Sonora.

Now, if there was a HUT near the saddle, there might be no need to fergeddaboudit.
There was, at one time, apparently, a hut up in Little Yo somewhere.

But over the years people gradually forgot it was there.

You're sure TM never said anything about this place?

It was called the Alzheimer's Climbers' Above-the-Clouds/Below-the-Stars Ranch, or some such.

It rivaled Toad Hall on the North Rim, the legend says, for interior space.

The closeness of the "outdoor facility" to the hut's rear door was appreciated by most if not all, it's also said.

Finding this old building might be a worthy Facelift enterprise for some enterprising sort.

The guy with the 10 fingers is Don Lauria

The guy he's to talking to is a throw back - he's got a name tag for Junipero Serra's sake

Climb Like a Dotard (TR)

Thank God it snowed and I was spared all the embarrassment.

There were three of us, all over 65, all experienced enough to appreciate the interruption of our plans.

Reno was just about as satisfying, really.

The wine bar was fun.

Maybe next time.

FACELIFT CANCELLED!!!!!

Yes, I'm opting out this year. I just don't feel healthy enough to go and have sent in a cancellation notice to the reservationists Allyson and Linda.

My thoughts are that I'm too heavy, I haven't been able to lose the weight, and why put myself in the sh!t if I don't have to?

I KNOW the signs of Congestive Heart Failure and these are those. My legs are visibly swollen. My weight's off the charts. My breath is hard to catch. BP is nearly normal, but consistently off by some.

I'm playing the odds and just hoping this doesn't get worse or I may have to go to the ER.

So, this means I may only attend the Meatfest, like I did two years ago. I do want to see the gang and take some pics. I can hang one night with little risk to my health, certainly.

Robert Burns, how right you were.

'The Portent'

On the whispering breeze
Blows a song through the trees
Of what trials we shall see
And of victories to be
At the starting line horn
With the birth of what's born
Let the battle begin
For a hard fought for win

Warbird racing is near
Warbird racing is near
With the sounding of engines
It'll be perfectly clear
When the countdown begins
Warbird racing is here

So pilots clean your planes
Wipe the fog from your brains
And fill up your tanks
Check your props and give thanks
That the weather is clear
For the sport we hold dear
With what luck we can borrow
We'll be ready tomorrow

Warbird racing is near
Warbird racing is near
With the sounding of engines
It'll be perfectly clear
When the countdown begins
Warbird racing is here
