Well if the bandwidth is getting too clogged up, I can delete quite a few of mine.

I got my $59.00 (computer and shipping) rescue machine today. It looks pretty good. One is 2.0 Ghz and the other is 2.3 Ghz. Doesn't seem significant for typing bandwidth cloggers on the ST.

I may just swap the disc out of this one and save this one for parts.

I really didn't want to take apart the display.

C'mon Johnny strike up the band_width me.

Look at this bit of economy. There's 16 saved characters right there.

However, I am beginning to suspect that the embedding syntax [youtube=vid###] is a creating a resource hog.

From Great Falls to the Great Halls of Middle Earth.

Callie Graphie sends her regards, best wishes, hopes for a bright future, vibes for optimal health, and a weather report.

Thank you, feralfae.

I've taken to using a walker, the one issued to me after the heart surgery. The reason is that I don't like feeling dizzy in the heat, it's easy enough to use it so in the interests of not having to BALANCE myself, it's a set of rolling ski poles, is how I view using it.

It's not cheating if you're not having fun, and I had lots of fun with an old broad from NYC on The Bus today. Forgeddaboutdit! Her walker had better locking brakes than mine, and she totally wouldn't fold it when asked by the nice, nice lady bus operator, who loves her job, BTW.

We actually had very similar items in our shopping bags...strawberries, tomatoes, Sicilian peppers, daikon, and carrots. Oh, and yogurt. But her choice was plain, mine vanilla.

There was a recent ballot measure (pick a letter) that has freed up funds for seniors over 62 and veterans of any age to ride The Bus for nothing.

I'm over fifteen pounds heavier than I'd like to weigh. I'm near 185. I can lose it before the surgery with a massive effort of walking, but is it worth it? I noticed a decided hitch in my gitalong--the left knee isn't that strong and there's noticeable pain/twinging in the groin from that inguinal hernia. But as long as I stop and recruit myself I'm okay.

Sometimes I can get cranking, but not for any longer than say a block. It's the weight factor making me huff and blow more than if I were lighter, I think. Main thing is to get out and scoot along for several hours and light meals, no more Cinema fare.

I went to the Human Services Agency on the first leg of my bus ride. I had my Electronic Benefits Card issued to me in what seemed like record time. I was in and out in a total of twenty-nine minutes and met the bus a minute later to head out to the grocery. Beats riding the bike in the heat. Sure beats walking.

Let's give a hand to the FIREFIGHTERS who've come from all over to deal with Bęte Detwiler. This afternoon I saw five engines from the Woodside/Menlo Park area on old 99 and waved my hat as they drove past, plainly awed at the Big City of Merced. Then I saw another six parked in a row at the old HS on G Street. Not to mention two others cruising around.

Paul was recruited to record the band because he “just happened to be the guy with the better of two tape recorders,” a then new Webcor Model 5100dr, which he still owns today.

The Standard Rate

When we checked into the room
The beds were floating
Two feet above the floor
The coffee machine was sentient
A sleeping border collie
Was a fixture on the couch
An alien presence was palpable
But also comforting

I woke at two am
With a tingling around my abdomen
Upon examination
A freshly healed two inch scar
Was right above my appendix
When I looked out of the window
Millipede armies marched single file
Up and down the road outside the building

When we woke up in the morning
We were standing at the front desk
Oddly all the hotel staff
Wore clothes that were shimmering
There were tiny little teapots
Lined up along the countertop
In a high pitch they whistled Dixie
Though discordant and out of tune

There was a discrepancy on our bill
When we complained about the overcharges
They said it was the standard rate
But a new toaster oven
Was given as a free gift
When we went to leave the building
We arrived once more again
Immediately upon our departure

HEY "Betty"
( not any one who 'knew' Detterline, just to be clear)

WHAT IS THE BLUES

Is the plural Blahs?

Twixt time and Timbuktu

I've never gotten over you

'Twas the summer leading up

And the summer leading to

Too

I'll stay mum, there are no pictures

Only the crispest memories of one

And it was a half of you

Discreetly Framed

Square'd up behind a bush

nothing to see But I knew t'was truly you.

The Zevonater was good to us at the old Lone Star

No thanks to Paul the piano player

quhiantity added can I tell ya',

I was consumed my own self by that tune

that song running through my head

the day -before- zB posted it

So yes ,
