wow! i LOVE buckeye trees... my mom and i used to see some, on a group of foothills, near san jose...
say, we NEVER (or, at least, me) never saw them in flower... only in the buckeye-fruit-seed condition...

hey there say, mouse... you are so welcome... i KNOW... it is so fun, that little cartoon there!!
i love that affected effect-type situations, as to these words... oh my, :O
one day, years back, after looking in the dictionary, it was even more
of a hard-thinking chore, as, one of the affects/effects (forgot which one) was EVEN used LIKE the OTHER affect/effect, in certain times... :O
meaning:
effect was ACTUALLY used a verb, in some 'hmmm?'situations... :O
and, i am wondering, too, if there was a few rare times, that it listed
affect, in a noun-type way, but, i can't remember, as to that, right now...
will go back and re'check...

Now that I've read your posts, neebee, I cannot recall what my poetical subject was.
Hmmm...your posts had quite an (choose one - affect or effect) on me.
Now I remember.
The air here on calm summer mornings is often freighted with the smell of onions from the dehydrator in Livingston, fifteen miles up-valley. The aroma is quite pleasing, if only because it's so comforting. Sometimes it's garlic, though. I don't know which I really like best.
At these times there is also the torture of the aroma of the grill at the Cinema Cafe being heated up, the daily mass bacon-fry sending its tendrils of temptation out into the neighborhood. Agony when you're broke, ecstasy when you're flush.
Hunger Games
Down to drinking hot water/no tea
Peanut butter jar is cleaned out, too
The hard cheese has been nibbled to nothing
The last little red onion sure looks like a gourmet treat
But I'll save it for tomorrow's supper
Open window beckons with thoughts of giving up
Smell of the grill at the cafe down below says don't
Some angel with a picnic basket of plenty will come
Payday is coming and the forecast calls for feasting
Chance of cupcakes with sprinkles

Thinking it over a bit longer, the journalists are in the game for stories.
Every time POTUS-belly tweets, it is "news."
Their perception of what is new is in conflict with mine, I must say.
Ergo, they'll keep on keeping on.
I would say they deserve what they get, but that would be uncivil of me.
Let me say instead that I hope they get all that's coming to them.
