Eh Prod, I wasn't dismissing what you said just pointing out the best experience for a visitor looking for a quick day in the mountains with lots of crag porn thrown in to the mix. Driving up to Loveland is meh, driving up to Eldora is OMG.

Good to hear camping at Copper is still kosher, I thought they banned that practice around the same time Abasin shut down their overnight camping.

NutAgain, for info on weather, TGR has a good thread on what is happening at the various areas around the state.

And for discounted day tickets hit up Liftopia.

The lifts are so slow at Eldora there really isn't much difference between the traffic on I -70 and standing in or sitting on the chair at or Eldora! The views might be slightly better sitting on the slow chair then in yer car! Beware if the forecast is for wind as often everything at Eldora can shut down. Now puke?

Dudes and dudettes, I'm staying in Boulder and skiing Eldora next 2 days. And wifey surprised me by making time off to come with me!

So where's a good place for dinner in Boulder that has gluten free options?

For a totally Boulder experience, Shine's entire menu (apart from most of their beer, which is they brew themselves) is gluten free. Their gluten-free pasta is killer (I am not gluten free and being a NYC native have a totally snobby palate but I still order it), as are their cold-pressed juices and "potions" (I always go for an Alkalizer with vodka but you can't go wrong with any of their drinks, as long as you can get past the descriptions in the menu). But honestly - this is Boulder - you can find gluten free nearly anywhere.

Skiing A-basin today, and then we're headed to Amu, a sake bar with some of the best Japanese food I've had anywhere (including Japan) for the Valentines dinner special tonight, but I don't know if you can still get reservations for that.

Hey Nut.... PM either me or Aya. Maybe we can meet up for a beer later tonight? we'll be at Amu at... what time? :)

And I second Shine for GF. They have a GF beer as well. Their own. Now if you can handle a little GF in beer their Imperial Porter is dam good.

Oh... and it's Stout Month at Mountain/Southern/Under the Sun.
