More pics please SLR! Love that part of the world! A while back you asked me where that granite was.. it was on the south, south eastish section of Puerto Rico. That section of the island is plutonic and actually has a lot of granite although most of it is very overgrown. There is also some sporadic granite in the various virgin islands. the lost coast was road's end on my recent wanderings, savoring the memories of this old crimping ground.it sure felt like the bouldering at black sands beach was pretty personal back during the watergate era.think blue suede boots and halibut hat. summer job: launched boats out of shelter cove those years.never the luxury of a spotter, but not a better landing surface ... like a splashdown into the chiclet pit! my seventies sweetheart still lives on a nearby bluff, was a nostalgic visit. forty years of history here.salt of the earth family, gen 3&4 at the cove, still conducting a century of righteous commerce therefrom the internet:

been surfing central coast this week , padddled out on a beautiful clear day with small surf at the spot in photo after about an hour spotted the landlord feeding on something about 50 ft from me and my two bros were sitting in the lineup. first spotted the dorsal fin , then it breached exposing it's back and tail estimate at least 10' great white. first shark I've seen in cali in 42 yrs of surf. we decided to paddle in :)
