Chief...this one was similar to the mega death storm when the sheriff did the reverse 9-11 emergency drill...The tourists stampeded into vons and cleaned out the shelves and no snow fell..LMAO

"Strongest Storm In Years" my ass!
This wasn't even the strongest storm this month. The last storm dropped more than twice as much rain here as this one.

No sh#t. This felt strikingly similar to the Republican's Ebola Terror election strategy. What a gyp.

Three years. C'mon Susan.
Same thing happened from 66-early 69, 75-78, 87-92, 07-09.
Amazing how so many forget.
You are absolutely right, as always.

Looks like Badger Pass got a little snow. I'm happy for them and for the state. I hope we have a good wet year.

It was a strange thing. The weather folks kept hyping it up and hyping it up over these terrible winds approaching. When it was supposedly at it's worst I went for a walk about to get out in the warming weather the winds brought (Temp increased 3 degrees just after the sun was setting to 61 right here) and rejoice at the power of Nature to crack a big tree sideways. Pfft. I've had more massive farts than that wind storm and it ended quicker than some of my farts as well.
Then today, I see 2 neighbors are missing roof parts and read that there are some big power outages it killed 2 folks........strange.
Glad you California folks got some much needed water dumped on ya. May all your reservoirs be filled and your mountains blanketed by deep white powder for Christmas.

Four inches and change here in Santa Cruz right off of West Cliff all in approx 12 hours. I'd call that a solid storm. Certainly remember worse though.

We got between 3 and 4.5 inches. I just need to figure out which rain gage is more accurate.
What diameter rain gage is correct if depth = 1"? If rain fall = 1" (area) x depth.
My calculator is broken.
2 beers.
Oh, we did have periods of torrential rainfall. Street flooding mega bursts. Total red cell action. Way cool.

This storm was sort of like a tornado in the way it picked a very selective path, totally destroying some, leaving others practically untouched. That rock slide is impressive. ^
