I like it the way it is.

I don't do Facebook, and this place has variety, with an occasional climbing related post. There are many gems here hidden among the junk, plus much historical content, if you want to search for it.

Jebus and Apogee, fuk off!

Now, now Moose, you only have to worry about Jebus cuz apogee hasn't posted any pics!

ST is fun. Steve is right, there is a variety of topics going on, even if some are tiresome. I can think of 1 forum where it's just a dozen or so people arguing politics non-stop, bickering, trolling, etc. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
At least stuff goes on here, people get together, climb together. For the most part, people are not anonymous cowards hiding and spending their time being as#@&%es. For the most part.

Although I prefer a relatively lower profile, my pics are out there, Anita...you just have to look harder for 'em. Of course, you might get some help from a pathetic jerkwad ST regular who stalks my personal stuff elsewhere on the interwebz, and posts it up here as some kind of 'public service'.

I'm a coward, just not an anonymous one.

The only problem I have with ST, other than the occasional pretend death threat, is the continual stalking by young hotties for my aeryoodite opining.

I'm tired of telling my GF "I swear I do not know these people, honey."

It's so hard to be seen as just a huge kielbasa with a life support system attached.

HA! Belly laugh!!!

I would think folks would be more up at arms over PRISM...but what do I know?

CMac asks politely: "Please help us keep the climber's forum a friendly and informative resource."

What have YOU done to help your forum today?

Please be specific.....why do we need an alternative to Supertopo AND what would this alternative look like? How would it function differently than what we have here. Again, please be specific. Is this a case of the "Meadow being greener on the other side of the fence."? lynne

It's the nature of the beast. Any forum on the internet, regardlees the prescribed content, will disintigrate into mindless arguments about religion, politics and relationships and gatekeepers will be flushed down the drain.

Hence no need to mess around with another forum...

This forum is only as good as we are...which is pretty damn splendid IMO so don't take Cmac and RJ's excellent adventure for granted when you are looking to homestead on Mars.
