Bump.

I'm actually the one looking for Inez.

She moved to Florida three-something years ago, and at that point pretty much gave up climbing. She met a bunch of new people and took up kayaking up the local rivers and streams. They'd pack camping gear and head off into the wilderness for several days at a time, where only small boats can go. Apparently Florida is good for that kind of thing.

Her mom died at least three years ago, although she was still visiting family back in Germany once a year. I'm hoping she's off traveling somewhere but it's unusual that she didn't tell me she was changing her phone number, and hasn't answered my email.

Okay, over N out.

Thanks to Lord Slime for checking in. It is good to get the update on what Inez has been doing. I hope she's okay.

Ran into Inez in the Dolomites in 2006. We were walking past the base of Torre Grande in the Cinque Torre, picking up our packs, and I see this woman with a tech tee on, English writing, from a comp in Berkeley. Small world.

We chat briefly, then meet later at the hut for food and truth serum...(a liter of Vino tinto or three). Great to see her.

Dimly recall her at the City of Rocks a few years back too...maybe with Troutboy, etc.

Tell her hi. Hope she's well!

FOUND HER!

She had changed her cell number and forgot to tell me. She's just returned from a Safari in Africa and 36hrs traveling home. I'll call her on Wednesday and ask her to check in here.

Haha. Doesn't she know she should synch so any changes push to other devices?

Ditto here. Wreck.Climbing hookup. Inez rocks!!!

Inez and Allen in Camp Verde on the drive up to climb the Mace in Sedona.
Allen is probably the oldest climber to knock the Mace off at 69 years if I had to guess. And he led the last pitch onsight!

Hey E!! Whassup! Hope you're doing well.

I think LS reported a few posts back that he got in touch with the G-G.
Hopefully she'll check in here, because if she doesn't we'll ALL have to call her!!

I started on wreck.climbing way early on (about '91 or so). Met and climbed with a bunch of assorted crazy people and had a blast. By the time it sort of wound down it had sort of run it's course and I wasn't a playah there no more. But some good memories for sure.

How 'bout that loose cannon on the Column in '94?

Inez high up on the Steck-Salathe. Brutus is somewhere above, dragging rope with him. The sun is on it's way down and I think the thrill is gone. :-)

We topped out at midnight. The day before, Bruce and I had hoofed to the top of Sentinel loaded down with all the goodies for the next night's bivy, so after we summmited, we fished out the goods, broke out the wine, started the fire, grilled prawns and chicken and celebrated in style! Fantastic day with two incredible people!

Robert,

Can you PM that info as well. Also lost touch with her about 4 years ago. I get to Florida a couple times a year to paddle, so if that's what she is into these days, would love to look her up again.
