see the "what song are you listening to now?" aka "my music is more obscure than yours" thread.

What I have learned from this thread so far about decent taste in music:

 Looks like Elvis Costello.
 Has style like Jack White.
Is not mariachi or white people mariachi (jazz).
It has to be loud. If not, it's not music.
 It's sweet and salty.
 It's more obscure than yours.
 and: It's subjective...

Holy ghost... This is almost as good as the Mind thread ^^^^

Can decent tasters bend strings with their mind, just like they bend forks with their mind on the Mind thread?

So psyched that the Insane Clown Posse is coming to Salt Air. I thought everyone here would pass up the Facelift to go to a Juggaloo gathering.

Just heard on MSNBC that Katy Perry has offered to write a campaign song for Hillary Clinton.

Why are the coolly-anointed like Beck/Jack White/Lou Reed somehow exponentially leagues better than, say, Sixpence None the Richer/Men Without Hats/Spice Girls ????

Some people like Big Macs, French Fries and Coca Cola, some people prefer a small steak seasoned with salt & pepper, asparagus and an IPA.

I have far better (and waaaaaay broader) taste in music than 98% of the people I know.

Funny thing, though...I've found a good number of the remaining 2% hanging around here at ST.

Anita,
David Coverdale lives near here. I think I had one if his hairs stuck in my nachos. He looks the same. You can't say that for Tawny Kitaen.
