I need a friday partner too. Was thinking ginger cracks or unimpeachable groping. Haven't done either of those yet. But i'm open to anything. Theres lots of user friendly stuff in oak creek and pine creek too. Would prefer Not the black corridor. Have spent too many cold windy days there and friday looks beautiful for a longer route.

Awesome! I can load up my phone with that Mt. Project info. Well I got to get packed up. It will be great to meet you all. And it's Chris, which is the c in skcreidc. Yea I know, I can't pronounce it either.

You all serious about the BBQ? What can we bring (that we can buy on the way)?

Edit: I am up for cragging with the CG crew.

Willow Springs, frankly not my favorite place. Half of the stuff wants pro to 4,5,6 inches, which is not my thing. And the other half says "delicate pro, fragile rock" or some such. Here is my guidebook notation for a route I led there called kemosabe: "hideous death route".

Obviously I'm exaggerating. I'll join you there if I don't have another plan and I appreciate the invite.

Wml have you been to the Flight Path area of Pine Creek? That looks like it might be good for cragging with a reasonably short approach.

There is a route to the right of kemo sabe that is pretty good, but it isn't in the book. Lie Detector (5.6) Wendell Broussard, 1978. 3 pitches, the second is more of a belay transfer then a pitch. Third pitch is a full squeeze chimney, very fun.

I haven't made it out to Flight Path but there is a lot of stuff there that looks fun. Brass Wall is nice too.

Will be heading straight from crag to airport to pick up Big Mike. His flight is scheduled to land at 6, so prob leave here at 6 to get him once his bags arrive. (on Fri that is)

Wait...
What??

You're gonna pick me up??

In Las Vegas? I'm going to Las Vegas???

And a fun time was had by many attendees at The crag today.

I have almost forgotten how to climb cracks and I have clearly lost my "nut eye". Will work more on that deficit tomorrow.

And i just have to say that the bad boys of supertopo are really sweethearts in person.

From all the down parkas and warm clothing, it must be fairly cool?

Weather sucked here last night, wet and cold. I don't imagine it was much better there.

Heater is on and I'm watching a Tom Petty concert. Might be climbing weather in a few.
You guys should hit the casinos if you have Donini for luck.

Last night we all feasted on many meat products, wine beer and jamesons and then kept away the cold with a campfire and many stories from Jim.

Today was a rest day for Donini and Moose, uriziel and me went to an area in pine creek, and vegasclimber, big mike , WL and the san diego crew went to calico basin. We had cool weather today with a few little drops of rain but still got in 400 feet of single pitch fun. And of course 2 hours of hiking up and down!

I'm really sorry to have missed this gathering, but my Brokedownpickup wasn't revived in time for the trip. Hopefully later this week I'll again "be mobile."

But...next week, Joshua Tree (maybe...).
