Good for your, CB! Love your bright coloration.

+1 for braving that riot of wild Alaskan flora!

Crepe myrtle on the sidewalk here.
The long branches with the load at the end are always waving in the breeze--
harder than dogs or birds to wait for to sit still.

May as well try and shoot the wind!

Algernon was a mouse that developed or "flowered" into intelligence.
After the operation, when things took a turn for the worst, flowers could then be placed on his grave.

Plastic flowers, not dead flowers, are fine by me, Locker.
My nose is no longer so keen as it was when young and full of snot.
See you in hell's half-acre, choked with weeds and sterile seeds, buddy. :0)

While out driving in my Mouserati the other night
A Red Staggerwing bush passed within my sight.
I didn't stop to take a look,
I had no time, I read the book.
On my way back, to my surprise,
What then greeted my jaded eyes?
The blooms had faded,
I felt more jaded,
And sadly drove away.

My moral is--and this took me hours--
Take time to stop and shoot the flowers!

Mouse - Your picture is of Field Morning Glory (Convolvulus arvensis). Jimson Weed (Datura spp) is in another family, the Nightshades - Solanaceae - tomatoes - tobacco - ground cherry.
