Wilbeer, my friend, who was the VP and partner of Alan Cocconi, who was featured in "Who
Killed The Electric Car?", was only talking about the amount of pollution produced and the
amount of energy required to build one electric car vs one conventional plus the additional
battery the electric car would require in 5-7 years (typically).

I would agree that batteries wear out, but the tech is coming along nicely to recycle. All of them, really.

You are a contractor, like myself.Do you ever wonder ,these cordless tools have come along way, aye?

Just saying.Hope you are having a beer,so cheers.

Sure, it would be nice for Musk if the electric vehicle market took off with his cars leading the pack, but the alternative usage of decentralizing the grid is poised to use far more batteries than the growth of the electrical car market in this new period of collapsing oil prices. I'm talking home energy storage in conjunction with personal alternative power by solar or wind, or as a backup power supply supplied by the grid and used in power interruptions. If you believe the hype, his early orders has used up the entire capacity of the new giga factory. Being as how my northern Nevada investments are already being enhanced by Tesla's presence, and other tech companies in a rush for NNV ( to the tune of 15,000 direct jobs and growing ), I wish the co. the best of luck.

Careful what you wish for Moose. The pendulum might swing way high for gas prices, your wife say nyet on the electric car, leaving you with hundred dollar petrol fillups.

On another note; I understand you live in Carson valley? You look like a good team member for FAing out in the NV void. Your humor is appreciated and you're welcome to join us this fall.

Tesla rocks. They are shattering the old oil empire. Tesla will bring oil rich counties to their knees. In 20 years we will all drive Tesla or products made possible by their work.

The air will be clean. All we need next is not polluting air travel.
