the outhouse wasn't actually locked.. but my friend refused to use it and I think I put a crutch in some doodoo butter that was stuck on the floor.

Dike comes in early but I'm sure you know that. It's an awesome climb although pretty easy.
Most seasons I do it at least twice before I get to climbing anything else as it's the highest quality climb in at that time of year. I can't believe you have never done it. Are you really from around here?
Gotta fix that..
Plus nothing beats a brisk sunrise November wind blown poop than Cannon. You don't even have to leave the outhouse door open to enjoy the view ;)
I guess weekends do suck on cannon early season. Any time of season really. Alpine start in a weekday and your golden...
Oh and clenan this crutches would yah...

Just never find the time or motivation to get down there.. and until recently the dike was not an attainable goal for my partner and me. Guess I'm going to have to start looking

Well I'm sure come December You'll be able to find me doing the pre dawn cannon shuffle.
Your more than welcome to join me and whomever whenever..
Weekends are not impossible however the pre dawn start is mandarory At least I won't do it any other way as I'm not climbing below anyone and I'm not standing and waiting in line.
It's well worth it to though easily one of the best climbs on the eat coast...

Get a dog that requires you actually walk it and not just let it out back.
I'm never cold come winter or hot come summer as walking the dogs 2-5 miles a day takes care of seasonal acclimatization..
That corner on can can get brutal cold and windy. It soooo worth it though especially the first time.
