how do you define the word love?
"He that loveth not knoweth not God;...
Definition: "...for God is love" - 1 John 4:8
For God so loved the world,...
DEFINITION: "...that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" - John 3:16 KJV
No Love? No God...Know God, know Love!

Time wounds all heels.
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" - Genesis 3:15 KJV
It was much more than time that bruised His heel!

Their are five Greek words defining love...
Phileo - brotherly love.
Eros - self gratifying love.
Storge - which is the type of love that occurs between family members.
Astorges - without natural affection (even for family members).
Agape - supernatural love.
I've heard that love can hurt. Not sure what name it goes by. I think I might have experienced it a few times, though. Dunno for sure. But my sisters grandson (my great nephew) Dustin (24) is hurting big time right now. Love is involved. His girlfriend of 5 years left him. He was madly in love with her. Still is. Actually she left him about 4 months ago. She was 5 months pregnant. He was the happiest guy in the world. Told everyone. Talked about Kristi and the baby all the time, in person, on facebook, etc! Just about every other post was about how fine a women he had, etc! Wanted to get married pronto, etc!
Trouble with Dustin was he wouldn't get his act together and seek a real job, as they say. He's been avidly practicing and playing guitar since he was around ten. Chasing that dream. Going from here to there, dragging her with him. She always held down a full-time job wherever they wound up. He had an 'it's all good' attitude, if ya know what I mean. I was his guardian when he was 16 for about a year (2005). He's a good kid.
He's in Irvine CA now where Kristi and the baby are (the baby was due yesterday). Long story short, she went back to her parents house when she split (parents are finacially well off). They were in Denver at the time. Denver had bottomed out for Dustin and he was planning on moving on. When I had asked him where, he responded, "I don't know, maybe New Jersy." Typical Dustin. I didn't ask why, but new that it meant some body he new or was in touch with that cud'be the next musical venture/opportunity.
I don't blame her for saying quits. What I do have trouble with, is they decided (her and her parents) decided to put the baby up for adoption. They gave Dustin no choice in the matter. They cut him off totally a few months back.
He's been a different person since the day she left him. Moved back to near where she is living and got a full time job and his own apartment. Bought a crib and all these toys and stuff. I'll just leave it at that. It's really heartbreaking. He got a lawyer, but evidently that's a slow process. He's been sleeping outside the hospital in his car in the parking lot for the last four days trying to get in to see her, and I guess the kid by now. We're not even sure if the kid is still there. They found some one to adopt it and all that. He's not allowed inside the hospital, evidently.
Not sure why I dropped this on ya. Was actually thinking about posting it on one of your two threads about love for the last few days and decided not to. But it popped up tonight. Anyway, don't bother to respond back because I don't want to impose on this thread (the reason i decided not to post on here in the first place). That would be bad form. Didn't want to start a thread. But, if you've bothered to read this far and your so inclined, please through out a prayer for Dustin, his baby and his girlfriend for me. I'm more than a little concerned for Dustin, especially. Thanks.
Blue - thanks, bro!
