I had planned on attending Pat's Memorial, but my family is giving my Dad his 88th Birthday Party tomorrow.

As we all remember Pat and his life I remind myself to Celebrate Life! Like I did last night. Taking time to Enjoy my friends while we are all still together on this planet. We remember our friends and community when they leave this mortal earth, but perhaps a greater gift is to enjoy today with them. jess sayin'....lynnie

Good times with you and Jonny last night Lynnie. Man I was dragging today at work ,but lots of smiles thinking about sitting around the table telling stories! Kelly and I are blessed with great friends. Happy Birthday to Mr Leichtfuss.

Thank you Mark, Shelley, Joan, Dan, Daniel, and Andrew Nay,
for making Pat's Memorial so perfect!

Mark, Pat's brothers eulogy was beautiful, heartfelt and accurately portrayed all of Pats diverse interests and feelings.

I was so happy to be there surrounded by all the people who loved Pat!
The location, food and of course beer, for the celebration was a fantastic blend of old Germany and the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite, both of which were near and dear to Pat.

We dropped by Pat's house after the memorial and saw his dog Nicky and she seemed quite happy. I'm sure that would make Pat extremely happy too.

I am so saddened that Pat is no longer with us but so glad he had such a rich and full life full of great friends and family who loved him so much!

Thank you to Pat's family and friends for making his celebration of life so rich, meaningful and fun!

I'm sorry I missed Pat's memorial service due to my late arrival and prior committments.

The Davies Hall was a nice setting for the after party. As Karen said it reminded me of the Ahwahnee Hotel.

It was great to catch up with old friends and share memories of Pat and of the BITD climbing world. It was also great fun to meet his non-climbing friends and to hang out at Pat's house later.

As Maria said at John Rosendahl's memorial "it's too bad that someone has to die to get us all together."

Love to you all.

ps. Unfortunately I missed 10b, Tony and Ron.

Wonderful, Jeff and thanks for introducing me to this man; I never met him but should have. It was a honor to contribute effort for this memorial.
