Three Cheers for Marlow!!!

One of our best when it comes to art and Gran Alpinisme.

Time for a Marlow appreciation bump!

I only know him from the internet, but he comes across as a super high quality human being. I love his posts highlighting the huge range of people who have contributed to climbing history. He's one of the shining lights of Supertopo.

Thanks, Marlow for the Forum climbing content!

I had a Norwegian roommate in graduate school. He was an amazing skier although he didn't climb. His name was "Urine" (I don't think that's the correct way to write it, but that's how he said it should be pronounced). Great sense of humor, that Urine.

Marlow's posts are an important contribution to this site, but his name doesn't sound Norwegian. Sounds more like a 1930s LA detective.

Didn't see this the first time around but happy to appreciate. Murcan climbers have a way of thinking everything happens in Murca (even after folks like the Hubers storm Yosemite). Marlow reminds us, without any sense of deprecation, that there is a very big world of climbing out there and we are just a part of it.

Still reflecting on the 'The Prisoner of Chillon' by Lord Byron that he posted on the 'Another Poetry Thread' last year. Epic poem and I hung on every word it.
Thanks Marlow, for all your solid contributions.

Marlow contributes a great deal to this nuthouse, and some day I hope he tells us more about himself and his outdoor adventures. Maybe I'll see him the next time I'm in Norway.

And, as he comes from the land of Jesperpus (www.jesperpus.no), not far from where my family is from, what more can be said? Omitting his real name that is - which isn't Marlow. Maybe he's a fan of detective/noir fiction, and writes Nordic crime stories?

Interesting that I have never seen phylp and Marlow in a room at the same time.

Marlow is one of the few on the ST who get it.

Get it?
