I always loved Peter Pan... in my childhood imaginings he was my best pal. I never expected to actually meet him. Especially not in an old man's body.

Here's photographic evidence that Donini has led a pitch. If you look closely you'll see that his right fingers are grappling with the rock while his left hand is clipping the draw.

And this was me belaying him...

I climbed with Jim when he had just started rock climbing.
I witnessed his first Spring in Yosemite.
Definitely a myth.
