Sorry I haven't followed up. The photo of the island cabin was taken in Ontario on the north shore of Lake Huron. The gent who guessed Michigan was close. I'm actually from Michigan!

For the next 1-2 weeks, our RV is parked about 20 yards from Clear Creek in Golden. It's a great place to watch the bikinis, uh, I mean water, flow by.

Nothing cools you off like going over a waterfall on a cold mountain river. Grand Canyon of the Toulomne last summer. About 20 miles down from the meadows. (12 minute video. Good stuff not until 3:30 min in.) My epic run of the whole falls 8:24-9:24.

What's your favorite Tahoe spot?

Kiva Beach was a good place to take the dogs, but there are so many great, lesser travelled, nooks and crannies.

Don't give away secrets if you don't want to.

One cool thing I found were the underwater boulder caves and tunnels at Sand Harbor. You have to be comfortable holding your breath for a full minute while swimming, otherwise you're gonna die.

Regardless, it's a surreal world down there, and it's pretty exhilarating.
