Here's some dumbed down wiki information for you...scroll down to read about several species homo sexual behaviours. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals
Homosexual behavior is NOT homosexual intercourse!

There are NO "gay" animals.

Homo sexual behavior includes intercourse, as does hetro sexual. It also includes all other forms of intimacy that homo sapiens and many other social creatures exhibit.

Try not to simplify the issue.

This part?

Such behaviors include sexual activity, courtship, affection, pair bonding, and parenting among same-sex animal pairings.

It's clear that much of the opposition to gay marriage is based in religion. In the US particularly, it seems that the common theme in the "No" camp is some variation on "God intended marriage to be between one man and one woman."

In fact, the more I think about it, the more it seems to me that that is the only ground for opposition. Have any of you heard other arguments? Or of opposition from non-religious people?

I think all marriages should be dark & dank.

If you have to be happy & gay so be it.

Actually based in suppressed homo-erotic urges coupled with peer pressure and bag-of-dirt ignorance.

This is just mean and ignorant. There is no peer pressure on me, except from people who believe like you. Most of Christianity rejects the teachings on reincarnation and my own family labels me a heretic. My life would be so much easier if I just changed my beliefs.

You think highly of yourself Dingus, and sneer at those who believe differently from you. And when you don't have an argument, then you resort to insults. Its beneath you.

I thought better of you too GDavis.

This isn't paper or plastic, it's human rights. There is no 'opinion' on it and the crucible of time will show it.

I grew up to it a few years ago. Will you, or do you cling to tired and dead dogma?

I am ignorant on many topics - that's why I learned to listen to others.

Go tell my aunts they shouldn't be together. Go tell a grown man what he can and can't do. To their face. If your 'opinion' is plausible and respectable.

It is rooted in hate and ignorance. Lots of times I'm screwing around here for a chuckle. Real talk - go look someone in the face and say what you think here.

No Dingus, I didn't like you saying that I have suppressed homosexual desires. Thats a typical low insult. Do you enjoy being insulted?

And I don't hide behind my religious beliefs. How is it hiding if I am standing here stating what I believe and subjecting myself to your insults?

For your edification, I have a number of homosexual friends. They know what I believe. I don't try to force my beliefs on them and they respect me for that. I also don't hide my beliefs, which they also respect. Something you could learn.

You have expressed in the past that you don't like people who jump to labels, yet that is exactly what you do with anyone who states any religious belief which goes contrary to what you believe. . Unless its some wishy washy unconditional nonsense. Then you just ignore it. But when someone challenges you, then you resort to insults. Thats pretty low.

The only thing that you have are insults. They don't and won't serve you well.

So is your opinion of me. Rooted in hate and ignorance. You resorted to insults and you don't even know me.

"So is your opinion of me. Rooted in hate and ignorance. You resorted to insults and you don't even know me."

I have no idea who you are nor did I single you out. The ego inserted yourself.

For the life of me I can't remember a discussion you and I had.

Ill be in the tuolumne meadows campground most July. I'd love to get to know you and have a discussion there. I literally grew up in chat rooms and understand the dynamics perhaps differently as it appears everyone interprets bland text on their own accord.

My family is very religious and I love then very much. Many of them have been helped by it. That doesn't mean religion sets the standard for 'morality.'

Have your own interpretation of the bible, live your own life as an example.

But let others live THEIR life. The bible has no more answers for how to be a good person in 2013 as Harry potter.

I'm not necessarily against gay marriage. I believe that it is wrong in the eyes of God, but I'm not certain that God wants me to try and force his/her beliefs on anyone. But I also know that because it is wrong, that there are consequences, and if I don't speak up about my beliefs, then I am in essence, condoning these kinds of behaviors. Consequences that the entire world has to pay for. Ignorance as an excuse only works for so long. There is Karma to be paid. We will all be paying that Karma back shortly. The cycles of time are here.

Dingus, I know how to take a joke. My gay friends have jokingly called me a fag. I understand a joke.

Are you saying that you were joking? Because its not easy to see that.

Ah, the westboro approach.

The karmic equation is irrational. If you fear another sodom and gamorha I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

I don't understand your implications Greg. What do you mean by "the westboro approach". To me those people are truly misguided and at times cruel.

We were created to be more of God. To do that we were given many of the powers of God, even the power to abuse life. Which we did. That abuse has led to mans current condition.

Thus, God did not create mans current condition. We did.

Not buying it. I still posit that if your god created everything and yet we somehow were able to create something (aberrant behaviors, etc) beyond it's control, then god isn't the ultimate power. In fact, we're more powerful than it.

Alternately, you're saying that god, acting as a parent, gave us a bent fork and said, "don't stick that in the electrical outlet or I'll be mad!" Sounds like pretty neglectful parenting in my book.

It's ok, dingus. Some think sexuality is black and white. Just like good and evil.

Even gender is grey. If you don't get that, you need some new friends :)
