It seems to me that some good thoughtful "climbing oriented" threads come from unlikely places. These threads are often off of the front page quickly and lost to people who surf ST occasionally for something that isn't just internet gossip.
Let's get a team together that bumps these threads back up to the front page. We may snare some interesting International climbers who can add valuable content to ST.
When people bump they seem to think they need an excuse to do so. How about bumping good climbing threads with a simple BBST ( bump for a better ST), after a short time it will be understood you're part of the team that wants more climbing threads front and center.

I dunno Jim. Most of my good threads are about underwear, or superheroes. Can we have a speciel BMUST (Bump for More Underwear on ST)team, too?

A bump is a bump no matter how you label it. I seem to have set myself up.....let the arrows fly.

Kidding aside, it's a fine idea. Which some people already use.

Bump.

I know it's been mentioned many times, but if the Taco was divided into a climbing topic/TR forum and an OT forum, I would check the former multiple times a day and the latter once a week (if at all.). It's frustrating.

We can roast the BST later. Right now, our guest of honor, it seems.
Tatty Bumpo is the herd-followingest independent you'll ever meet.

Takes a lickin', too. So he's just like you and I, you and I.

But I don't feel we need that control factor, Jim.

It's what it is, and it seems like it's a tool: a pry bar, specifically, a digging bar, which can do both. What's the jackhammer look like?

We posters live on a slippery slope of our own making.

We imagine things to be in process of becoming other than what they were when we went and signed up for this tour;
and when we see that things just evolve and change in spite of our Quixotist views,
then we think that we can overcome them.

And for this we sound the alarm.

What's all the palace revolt talk, anyway? The ST is a microdot in a matrix involving GILLIONS. It is its own little galaxy. Inside of it, we can go anywhere we choose.

Admittedly, it helps to know the current front page to find the place we want in that galaxy. It is the function of the search engine to do this, however, not the users' piss-poor memories, thank God and CMac.

Tatty doesn't care, he's got lots of fight left in him.

I could go thru this website bumping this and that, but by the time I got back to the front page, some slime will have seeped in, bet on it.

Remember, Locker's not a lurker...nor is he totally commited to keeping the ST "pure" I'll bet.

Nor am I. Nor am I.

I say the "Team" is gud enuf like it is. Non-existent. Non-elitist.

Quick show of hands reveals not one elitist.

This entire scene is what we make it and the content should be focused on climbing so thanks to Jim for keeping that issue front and center.

Chris has asked me to go back and index my historical threads and other postings and I will try to get to work on that task after the Diamond Reflections event.

I am closing in on four thousand scanned pages and images posted here so I am around for the long haul and actively work to keep everyone entertained and the stalwarts engaged.

I encourage folks to share their climbing experiences and interests without reservation because we have a really good crew here and I would like it to stay that way.

All Hail the Bumper Crop and Corp!

Just remember, when you are bumping, that there is a certain kind of bump that must not be bumped, because ST has a policy against that kind of bump, and if you bump it, you might find yourself bumped right off this forum.

Bumping threads is perhaps the lamest, dictatorial form of communication that is very unique to ST.

Most contributors to other climbing, skiing, surfing forums I contribute too would never dream of adding to a thread without any real weight or substance that adds value or smart ass comment.

I can only surmise its a weak attempt at editorializing a place lacking in constant substance so these people get their little hard ons up thinking they are contributing to the overall good by just saying "bump".

Carry on masturbaters.

Either of these by yo are top-shelf TR's:
