Dang it...

I am taking my Dad's ashes to Greece and if I was not flying out this weekend... If I could reschedule my flight, rearrange my family to do everything another time, I would be heading "there." I simply don't have that power. Please tell Blitzo I love him. Tell Sooze and that guy she hangs out with "thanks for all they are doing." I'll be praying. You are all in my thoughts.

Love,
Anastasia

Aww Todd, thanks for that pic me and the Bloot. I hadn't seen that before. Both Billy and I are picture takers at the crag so I have very few pictures of just me and him.

We had some really amazing times out there in JT over the years.

These are the last pics I have of Billy before he was hospitalized in May for the mass on his spine. Taken at a party at a friend's place in Joshua Tree in early April of this year. Was the same old fun-loving Billy we all know and love. Can't believe how quickly things turned.

Ummm, the past few pages have been pretty much pics so for anyone arriving to this page tonight, locker dropped the bomb this morning that we all pretty much already knew. You'll need to scroll back some pages for it.

Billy's at a hospice in Yucca Valley. Preventative treatment is no longer going on.

locker - please slow down on all the photo posts. I know this is very hard for you - it's hard for all of us who love him - but a lot of people only get to check in here only once or twice a day and this thread may have taken a confusing turn with 3 pages of pictures following the actual information you provided that I'm sure people want to know about. But what you said is what those who check in here need to know. It sucks, we're all hurting.

Love you, hugs to you. We will see Billy Saturday. Glad to know you're heading out here for him. I've never seen a friendship as true as you and Billy.

FYI for newcomers, it's around post 1247 where locker has said the things we sadly knew.

I've had difficulty gathering my thoughts to share with the group. Personal emails have been sent to many, please check as they pertain to visits and current condition.

Blitzo is hanging in there but it's been a tough few days. Confusion and new surrounds making things only that more difficult. We still hold out hope that being closer to home will allow us time to well, have time. Positive thoughts are important now as we don't want to be robbed of our friend any sooner than necessary.

Cards and such can continue to be sent to our home, we'll deliver messages. Funny happenings or messages of good will on the forum conveyed as well.

Also, let's please welcome his sister Martha who visits the thread daily but has not been posting. She loves the photos and getting to know her brother in the many ways we know him. Stories, funny stories and positive vibes are more welcome that ever!

Those of you wanting to visit him, please contact me or Russ first for additional information.

hey there say, sooze... NOTE TO SOOZE... NOTE TO SOOZE:
if she doesn't see this, please email her, i have dial up and
it's just slow--can't do it now, here is the note:

you should be getting an AUTOGRAPH dog, soon, that is for blitzo...

i did not know how much turn for the worse he had taken, so, i thought
it would be FUN for him to collect autographs from visitors...

:( i reckon, i should have had the idea sooner, but i just happened to
see it on sale for 2 bucks at the store, just the other day...

well--keep it out by his bed... the PEN with it, may be too thick for
fitting lots of signatures on it, so you MAY NEED a BALL POINT PEN...

YOU NEVER know, he may have clear moments and this would still brighten his thoughts to see what folks do with signing the little dog...

JUST FINISHED the name hug quilt, ALL THE NAMES of everyone on this post, just BEFORE THE LAST TWO DAY, WILL be on this quilt...

sorry, i could not get the new comers on it--will be puttting them on the pillow, though...

but--the pillow that you mentioned would be nice for his feet AND
phylp's LOVELY REAL quilt, will have to be late, it was just
far TOO much to get done... :(

i will embroider nice stuff about the taco, on her quilt, for blitzo, too,
but i can't get it there until another week and half... it is VERY thick,
for cooler night...

THIS ONE IS very thin, light and easy for blitzo to keep and curl up with, or just have on his lap to hold...

well, it should get to you ON MONDAY... i have some fund to pay for it, faster-shipping now... god's grace arose in time for me...
as, i have birthday money on hand, :)

well, REMEMBER TO find some fun way for blitzo to enjoy his
little autograph pup, and give him a hug for me...

love to all...
now, i am getting all sentimental, too...
got to go pray now...
