Locker:
"The world already feels a lot emptier...

Such a fuking raw deal!!!..."

Jesus, don't give us a heart attack like that. Billy's still with us. When I read this I feared the worst had happened.

Yeah, things aren't good for him but don't scare us that he might be gone. I know you care deeply about his well being as do all of us close to him. But stay in the present tense. Hugs locker, we need to stay strong for him.

Yes, present tense please! I may not always post, but I always check this thread for updates and going to the last page only to see that "the world already feels a lot emptier" scared me.

Sending the positive vibes to you, Blitzo! And cookies when you're outta the hospital...

I think that probably applies to many of us here.

and going to the last page only to see that "the world already feels a lot emptier" scared me.

And me. Didn't know what to think, or say.

Anyway, best wishes to Blitzo, and thanks to his friends who are doing so much for him.

Locker, because your comment came at the top of the last page, I thought it
might have been the latest in a series of responses, like maybe bad news had
been posted a page or two earlier.

Thanks for being such a good pal for the noob.

hey there say, locker.... oh my, no, did not think that was how bad knows of 'that worst kind' would have been posted, i just thought i missed some
major 'other post' was what it was, when i saw that 'heavier one'

but--i sure understand now... the world is emptier and sadder, even when
folks you are used to seeing don't show, just due to being on vacation for something, thus:

how much sadder when they are in hospital, and not only can't see you, but
even be well to be who they want to be...

thanks for sharing, locker, we are all 'anchored back down' now, :)
though, still sad, of course...

sure hope the trail gets an unexpected GOOD turn, EVEN bad trails can
turn good and bad climbs can turn out well, too...

THIS is the hopes and prayers we can try for, in our best ways...

Our friend is not exactly firmly tethered to reality. Ongoing high Ca+ levels and high strength pain meds are leading to some very creative interpretations of goings-on and his surroundings. Even when he is relatively clear, he believes that the hallucinations and odd interpretations actually happened. Sounds like they are very vivid from his descriptions to me.

I can almost fully assure you, without even calling the nurses, that nobody has ripped off his stuff from the hospital. Last time I was in his room, he was adamant that the nurses were coming in there every morning and adjusting the clock on the wall, due to some nefarious scheme...what that scheme was, he couldn't tell me, but he was positive they were manipulating the clock for some unscrupulous purposes.

He couldn't locate the nurse call button that was laying literally right beside him, sitting halfway in his lap. Couldn't tell me if he had his cell phone there, when it was laying on a chair 18" from his head. My point is, he is not the most reliable witness at the moment, so take anything he says with a shaker full of salt.

If you're the religious type, pray for him. If you're not (and I'm not) conjure some woo-woo vibe-y things and float them his way. He has been very grateful for all the outpouring of love and support from all of you, and he will need it even more as the future unfolds.

Salut to da Bloot. See ya soon buddy.

Hey guys!

I just got the best phone call ever. Blitzo's Medi-Cal was approved. He will finally be moved to a nursing facility with round the clock care and out of Arrowhead. Which means he will be much closer to Susan and Russ and myself and we will be able to see him daily. Hopefully this will help him in many many ways.

Also, We have his LAPTOP. He should have his phone right next to the bed.

Sooze or I will keep you updated on what happens next with the move to the new digs....
