my point is, don't think you gotta give up the things you love. just be diligent with your PT (which i've no doubt you'll give 100% to) and be patient.

You're right weezy. I wasn't really saying that, just joshing around a bit. What I meant was, I'm more stoked on climbing these days then riding is all...

mike hang on tight
i've thrown to the forces that be
between you and i
something that i enjoy!
though you may make of it what you'll.

regardless of how the weeds grow,
i admire you
and what you are battling thru,
and so i sent to you
what i hope will aid your passage.

Thanks Weege, I will keep battling!! I am very much looking forward your package!

full health within a year from now

Well Yippeee, but of course! Been thinking of you as I've been skiing my arse off this late season, but dang, it keeps following me around! Skied my 43rd day today which I thought was purdy good until a lady on the lift with me said it was her 76th day and she was close to me in age!

I would give up all my snowboards for one climbing day.
We need to get you and Sandra down to Moab and Indian Creek. I know this spring at Sushi Fest is too early for you, but next fall you guys are welcome to be guests of us. We're back down there in Oct and Nov. Moab has a great vibe...you guys would love it!

Sorry sleep is challenging. Sleep deprivation combined with pain....not good. Not good.

As for "cookies"....yeah well....I guess set it to "not accepting cookies".

As for the auction...there are a few things I want to add but won't be back to my home base for a couple weeks so I'll add them at that time.

You gotta lot strength and insight there for a young guy! Down the road people who are suffering go back and read these threads of folks that have shared their journey and redouble their own perseverance when faced with adversity.

May the Sandman sprinkle you with sleepy dust, as for cookies, stick with Girl Scouts for a bit!

Well, we managed to safely eat dinner together tonight without being run over mid-meal courtesy of some fine Splitz grill take-out. Afterwards we headed down to the games room where we quickly scared away two residents that were enjoying a nice peaceful game of billiards.

Did our best to get some climbs done for you at Red Rocks, but the first morning we were here the rain started, and it's looking like no sandstone climbing until about the time we leave. Mari might be able to grab some pitches for you while I'm working tomorrow or Monday though -- we'll see.

Hey Ghost! Missed this last night didn't I? Bummer about the weather. Bruce and I really hit a great window I guess! Hopefully you guys get a window, otherwise head out to the limestone or north to the basalt crags. Check my Vegas thread for more beta, can't remember the name of it..

Hope Mari gets out!!!

Oh heck ya!! That sounds like a plan!! I've been wanting to goto IC for awhile now! Moab would be sick too!! Slick rock Mecca I hear!

Sorry sleep is challenging. Sleep deprivation combined with pain....not good. Not good.

Think I may have that figured out. Drugs are under control now, and last night a bunch of the crew came down and we tuckered ourselves out in the game room. I slept like a baby. I was woken up twice for drugs, but total, i got about 11.5 hours last night!! Awesome catch up.. Needed that. Big time.

You gotta lot strength and insight there for a young guy! Down the road people who are suffering go back and read these threads of folks that have shared their journey and redouble their own perseverance when faced with adversity.

Thanks. I have a lot of time to think too. ;) I do hope people can use this thread to get through tough times in the future.

Yep. In retrospect I should have known. I will be more vigilant from now on. My bad. Apparently weed messes with your nervous system and can slow re growth. This is not what I want, so I am not going to mess with the stuff anymore. Period.

Thanks Cowpoke. Every message means a lot right now. All this support keeps me stoked and focused on the goal. Walking. Everything else is bonus.

Thank you Todd. I still can't believe the support this community is dishing out, left right and Centre! It's inspiring. I have always believed I could get back to doing what I love, you guys multiply that 100 fold!!

Hell ya!! Wow. Stoked.

Great pic Andy!!

Relic and everyone else, thanks for coming by last night!! It was a blast!!

Did he eat the cookies too ?
LOL!! ;) Luke had a big day yesterday! Up early, hiked a bunch of gear up to the base of uwall to try and do it in a push, forgot the Gri Gri so said f that, then went bouldering to show Ryand up ;) then down here to visit. He's high energy but even the energizer bunny has to burn out sometime ;)

LOL HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!! Newt's ear fungus remover!! Lol!

BigMike, Dood. . . with stuff like that goin' on, you'll be laughin' yourself to a total recovery!

LOL!! Last night was a riot! I think I gained a bunch of recovery points. Most fun I've had since I've been injured for certain!

Yesterday was pretty fun. The morning was mellow, just caught up on my supertopo and watched The Dark Night. Then my sister Tash, Ryan and my buddy Jesse showed up and we went for a stroll outside.

Tash Jesse and Ryan

Tash me and Jesse

We had a nice discussion about the state of the world and then they left me to go find some food and pain killers

Then the gang showed up. We were supposed to go out for dinner but you saw why that didn't happen..

After some nice greasy splitz burgers and some gifts of Banana bread and Butter Chicken currie from Nina and Kyle, we went to the games room where as Relic said we managed to scare off the local residents (sorry girls!!).

A funky pano of the gang

Kieran's goal was to make it look like that.. :)

Luke was stoked on the adjustable height pinball machine for energy conservation reasons..

Kieran and Relic enjoying some ping pong.

Luke found the Sip and Puff controls

Then Relic did

Being climbers, naturally something had to be climbed... Aislinn had a go at the brick wall first, and then of course everyone else got inspired

Nina has a go as Kyle spots the picture

Then Kyle sent it

Luke got pretty tired...

But so did Relic

Then the security guard came and said, lockup when you're done and we said, we're done..

Thanks for coming down guys!!
