Threatening to try and get someone banned because they said something you don't like is the weakest sauce possible. Isn't there a grade-school nearby that needs a crosswalk supervisor?

Can't we pass a law or something that says people can't delete their threads? Who made these stupid rules, anyway??!!

For the noble climbing historians among us (but maybe not the self-righteous how-dare-you-delete-my-priceless-thoughts folks), I expect CMACs database still contains a complete archive of all our posts, just marked with a 'deleted' flag. I just wanted to offer that thought to help soothe our tattered nerves, so that we might sleep better knowing that when the zombie apocalypse comes, not all will be lost.

More, rather than fewer, threads need deleting.....don't discourage the practice!

Thanks Locker, would you mind saying who RC is.

The reason I want a list is that I believe that it amounts to quite a few climbers, and many of them are well known. And if people knew just how many had killed themselves, then people wouldn't face stuff like Bunchy's troll comment.

People don't talk about their friends who committed suicide. They talk about the person, but not about what they did. I believe that needs to change.

Its your choice Burch, but there have been quite a few climbers who have killed themselves. And after they do, everyone always says that they wish that person would have reached out.

But reaching out has its risks. There is a story on the taco about a well known climber who was listening to this guy complain about wanting to die. The climber didn't believe him, and was tired of listening to what he termed whining. So he offered the guy a gun. The guy didn't take it. So that was in the climbers mind proof that the guy wasn't serious, so he should just shut up. That story was offered up because people didn't like the threads on depression. They just didn't want to hear about it.

I have lived with depression and suicidal thoughts for over 40 years. Since I haven't killed myself, I suppose according to you that means they weren't that bad. Is that right? I managed to make it through for 40 years, so it must not have been that bad.

maybe we should apply that measure to climbing. Hey, you survived, so it was a pussy climb.

Burch is an authority on extracting reactions from people online, so he should know.

THAT said - I don't like it when anyone is sad enough to consider killing themselves, but I'd surely hope it was over something significant, and not over a bunch of wankers on some random climbing forum. We are/this is definitely not worth it.

You don't like it if someone feels bad enough to want to kill themselves, and you hope that they don't take what is said on the internet seriously.

But what happens if they do take it seriously? Because thats the problem. Mental health issues cause people to be oversensitive. Especially if someone is suffering from PTSD. Almost everything and anything can feel like an attack.

I've got a history of mental health problems and for you to cast aspersions on my statements is a disgrace.

Would you like me to provide evidence?

Don't sit of the fence Burch

Am I telling the truth or not? (Yes or no)

Whats the matter with wankers like you Burch? Would you be happier if I blew my brains out?

I will provide evidence in the hope that it will shut down unbelievers like yourself.

Once I get it scanned I will post up.

Hey Jebus H Bomz
I have sought help from "creditable, qualified sources" and it didn't help.
You infer with the comment about your "teenage years" that my actions have been immature. Would you prefer me dead?

From the moment I deleted my first thread there has been a series of unrelenting attacks on me, some of them very bitter. Needless to say my critics have offered the standard bully response: safety in numbers’. I never asked for that kind of treatment so yes, I have been fighting back. Unfortunately, it’s taken its toll.

Even some of my strongest critics such as hypocrites like Kunlan_Shan have not been entirely honest in the way they blow with the prevailing wind.

I am not “foisting the responsibility for your own emotional state on others” I’m simply telling it like it is.

Please everyone, let it go. Avery, I speak for everyone, we all wish you the best. Please, please let it go. Lets all take a cleansing breath and do a group hug. The mods deleted @ 80 posts on this thread earlier to straighten it out and make it better. Looks like they may have their work cut out for them again. Lets all let the needless baloney go and focus on the good in the world of which there is so much.

Please...

You honestly expect me to leave these bully tactics alone, Couchmaster?

If it wasn't for this f*#kin ridiculous thread a lot of this wouldn't be happening.

It's a little late to be getting squeamish, couchmaster. After-all this is your creation.

Stand by for copious medical reports. This will, I hope put an end to the speculation that I'm making all this up.

You've reaped what you've sown, couchmaster, how does it taste?

Hey John M, how exactly have I acted like a "dick".

How have I mistreated others? Do you think it's possible that others have mistreated me?

Lets get one thing straight. I didn't cause this uproar. I deleted some of my OWN threads and I was vilified for it. I'm entitled to a defense, am I not?.

How would you like me to behave and respond. And please don't sit on the fence with this one.

What a treat to be reminded of Jody classics such as "Ready for Cruz?" and "Hope You Idiots Are Happy". I allowed myself a chuckle or two.

Thanks, John M

You for got to mention that I took your advice and changed moron to unbeliever.

Take note: I do take advice

I have never called anyone a 'faggot'. That's been aimed at me a number of times (Among other obscenities). Are you seriously expecting me to just laugh this off.
