I think "assasination" would make be a poor name, or even part of a name, for this device. But hey, what do I know....

Riley, I thkn it's all in what you practice, I am(was) OK on 45 degree overhangs but suck at roof cracks, but then I have that 45 degree wall 15 minutes away, and no roof crack there to play on.
BTW, 45 overhang is still feet, you sort of hang on your arms and rock around them, driving with your feet.
The guys who try to pull their way up overhangs have a lot of trouble.

Maybe even the now?
Good thing there's so much more to enjoy about climbing than how difficult it can be.
Good thing for me at least.

JB is on the right path...the cutting edge~~movement only~~. I think Ben Moon was talking about this stuff a decade ago...
Roun' here clips are routinely skipped to redpoint. I've heard about a guy skipping 5 or 6 in a row (and taking some nasty falls) on some 14 proj. Another crew is skipping 4-5 clips on another testpiece, "Apes on Acid". Taking 60'ers on an 85' route...
I recently belayed a guy who skipped the last clip on an (already) pretty run route. Would've been a huge whipper, but pretty safe (steep). Still kind of nervewracking to belay.
Being the n00b I am, last time I skipped a clip I wrecked my shoulder with poor "panicky" technique a move from the chains.

I have a 4 x 8 x 1 gym training mat but it is still rough over 20 feet, and you need help to cart it around.
but for 61 feet and up, nothing beats it until--
