Sooo proud of my son Ladd for Yesterday:

They opened up the back-side of Discovery and we got to drop into 3 untracked Black Diamond runs for the first 3 runs of the day--it was knee deep for me in most of the places...

It just won't stop snowing, this is ridiculous! My legs say stay in bed but another 20cm means riding before night shift is inevitable! Almost 140cm in the last 7 days with freezing levels way below valley bottom, man we are lucky.

Kid, maybe if u were a good boy this year Santa will bring u your own lego super pipe dragon:-)

Enjoy it - the next week looks really good for temps but not tons of new. The big news is they're starting to build a case for a pineapple toward the new year. 50 /50 maybe at this point.

I heard on the snooze that that ski hill over on the island already has a snowpack of 4 meters - and thats before christmas!

Yeah the Washing machine has gotta be close to digging their chairs out if they've had temps anything like ours. That place gets nailed.

From the KT webcam at Squaw.

Four feet of fresh and they drop the rope on the fingers? Sick! Today must have been great for the early chargers!

Sometimes, you can get above the whiteout, like this shot at Whistler.

looking good through the holidays. Any pineapple potential is looking unlikely as the ridge squishes and tilts at New years

I finally hit the slopes with my sweetie and my new snowboard yesterday. There were no crowds at Eldora and with 6" of fresh from the night before it was an awesome.

But wait.......... New years is starting to look pretty damn good again! The Pineapple is to be sent north to Alaska while we get sunshine and one of those nice mid winter temperature inversions.
