I was born in Edmonton, Ab and my folks moved to Vancouver Island for work when I was five. I grew up Skeezin on Mt Washington and switched to snowboarding in jr high. When I graduated I got tired of smzll town life and my parents helped me move up here so I could attend Whistler U, aka School of ski bum life and I never looked back :)

Sometimes I consider moving to the city and "getting a real job/starting a real life" then I wake up and realize there is no other place I would rather be.

Utah looks fun Justin! hmmm.... maybe I can interest someone in a little roadtrip.... Interior BC pow is pretty darn light usually as well, but not nearly as high as Utah.

snow has gotten to be a thing of the past.

:-(

i made an amazing discovery on top of mt. san jacinto a couple years ago. telemarking is probably the best way to deal with breakable crust. think about it.

Nice turns BCD, would be so cool to shred some of those couloirs & chutes above Bishop. What peak is that on?

Nice Susan! Shred it up!

I was solo today, which I love, because I get to set my own pace and ride what I want. I got four awesome pow laps in once the alpine opened. Not much for photos today.. Just this little slice of heaven.

I love knowing where to ride on weekends!

Kirkwood was awesome on Friday and Saturday. They only predicted a trace of snow, but it snowed about a foot up top. It was super cold so it put down some of the driest fluffiest snow i have slid on in awhile!!!

Now we are sitting at home contemplating making the drive up tomorrow morning. We're worried hwy 88 might be closed and the winds might be too strong to open the top....I think we'll probably be there tomorrow

Nice gf. I had a good day too. Would you say the snow was lighter than usual today??
I thought so.

Nice Bruce. Looks like our typical cold snap high pressure for the tourists? Excellent. Time to get the sled going.

We got 14cms today

Which is nice when you're only expecting 5 or 6... The hills were dead, and I met up with an excellent crew today. The pace was awesome. No waiting in line, no waiting at the lifts for people, just go go go. So sick. I'm bagged right now...

I only got one shot today, but it was the only one that really mattered...

Ya I'm familiar with Roar! Not too bad a hike, we can do a couple laps of the upper bowl then maybe a south side lap to the truck if conditions permit! Perfect.

Jim you need to either edit it in photos and save it that way or get an app like photoshop express (which is free and has some nice features) and save it there. Otherwise it can potentially flip. It has to do with the way you hold the phone when you take the picture. I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe I'll play with it tonight if I have time.

It's annoying tho isn't it!!
