Ahhh Chief your original post was so insightful! I'm glad I had the opportunity to read it. Please don't edit yourself sir!

Thanks Big Mike.
I'm always editing myself, some might prefer I was outright deleted.
It seemed I was overstating the obvious and coming off as way too idealistic and "preachy", something I'm chronically guilty of.
Thought it best to edit for brevity and fess up to being guilty as charged.
A post editing, thread deleting tosser!

What's wrong with deleting threads?

I've done it when things escalated to a level where I didn't want my name (I use my own name, shocking) attached to the vitriol that was being thrown around.

If it's something that is going to be talked about regardless, someone will resurrect the thread and attach their own name to it. Fine with me.

Chief, the people who say we shouldn't be offended by certain things get offended if you tell them something they did was offensive, hence the preachy..

thats harder to do if you are the one who doesn't like polka music and your neighbor is blaring it 24/7 over a 2000 watt system.

Anyone for some polka music? Make sure to turn the sound WAAAY UP. 11 should just about do it.

damn.. I loves me some good polka

Rapunzel had more hair than anyone on the ST (except maybe for Dorworth) and she (and he) never deleted a thread.

Some say it's needless. I'm telling you it's pointless.

Some say they like french fries. Some say pommes frites.

I just call'em taters. I'd delight in deletin' some french-fried taters. Or a troll teddybear filled with mashed taters. Squeeze it out the weej....

I have not a clue what NTIMAD is so I had to look it up and this is what I found. I do not know if this is three separate NTIMAD's or whether the group as a whole consTitutes one NTIMAD. Maybe best to Gargoyle it - No?

Just tossin'

It may well be that Toker Villain is talking about me.

In response to an email by fellow Supertopian sent to me, telling me he is glad I did not nuke my Hetch Hetchy thread.

Howdy

Yeah, Hetch Hetchy, beautiful place (lots of rattlers though). I have only bouldered there not climbed.

I have only nuked three of my threads since 2005, and only when there has been very little input, I do not want to 'silence' people. The first time it was because I may have thought the thread
inappropriate, the second because the first few posters were using it 'wrong', in my opinion. And of course the latest nuke.

I don't like doing it.

Cheers

Nothing - the whiners put WAY TOO MUCH STOCK in their precious words. Trust me, I'm doing them a favor when I scream

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.

I'd delete all the politard threads in a single sweep. Religious ones too. Gone.

<delete_all_politard_threads>

Then I'd come for your gun threads....
