I'm entering it into the public record that he's told me never to contact him.

rSin the anyonymous is a good dude and I'll stand by him thich knot han in hand, thumpin' a copy of On the Woad, tie-dyin' to be free of sunny-day friends.

You can quote me, Gnome.

Internecine: adj. Destructive to both sides in a conflict.
"The internecine result of the hissy fit was the end of a fair-weather friendship anyway. No real damage was done. Life went on."

Intramural: adj. Taking place within a single educational institution.
"The intamural antics at the Taco kindergarten left me in stitches, but you shoulda seen the other guy."

IF they are getting sponsorship in any way the must live up to the standards.

If they are caught doing otherwise, using methods that both threaten the activity,

and other users freedom to do it in the longheld, 'right' way they should be held to account.

Going postal about what B kamps wrought,

I was against the power tools ban,

because I know it is not ever A level playing field, Not ever. . . due to dollars and

A lack of Common,( the herd mentality)sense.

some can and do (using the right, approved, sanctioned, methods)

and some can't and want to. . . so they use whatever means necessary.

They then JOIN THE FRAY and spray as if they did it the "right" way , knowing in a deep

cynical way that time will pass and that will solve all.

Pretty pretty pretty pretty Peggy Lou. I'd put her right up there at the head of the class with Michele.

Bruce Hamilton, TNF designer and VP in the seventies and eighties, was the biggest Buddy Holly fan from Vanderbilt I ever met.

Mark Hannel, who worked in my shop and then ran the Palo Alto FO, was the biggest Emmy Lou Harris fan from Walnut Creek I ever met.

He also wore the same raggedy-ass rd head band I ever saw and drove a junked out old Ford Courier like me. One of the most laid-back individuals I ever met, I've not seen him since around 1980, though I've tried to contact him.

Mark McAllister.Mark, according to Larry Jones, is in Richmond and has a girl friend and has gigged in the area. He came by the FO in the seventies but I've not seen him since, and he was said to be on narcotics. Tsk-tsk.

That was news to Larry, however. His name's McAllister, so maybe we can just scotch that rumor. He's alive and hooked up, that's what matters. He could show up at any time.

Still no word on Yeates.

Like at all, like at all
Like at all, like at all

Gotta .38 special, man and .45 frame
You know the thing don't miss
'Cause I got dead aim
Got dead aim, got dead aim
Got dead aim, got dead aim

Well, the world is a drag
And my friends can't vote
Gonna make me a connection
And score some dope

now i Effed up big time.

I am big enough to admit it,

i went to far,

I took a swipe at a big dogs legacy, and paid a price by a hammering by that most talented largest craftsman . . .the big fish !

i am sorry, And it was not said In disrespect.

it was the passion what got me.

( PASSION: THE JOINING IN FLAMES OF MIXED EMOTIONS).... conflagration is a better word,

but my better half, also aghast a what I said,

said make the apology understandable,

a regretful acknowledgment of an offense or failure.

I am contrite :

adjective
feeling or expressing remorse or penitence; affected by guilt.

"a broken and a contrite heart"

synonyms: remorseful, repentant, penitent, regretful, sorry, apologetic, rueful, sheepish,

hangdog, ashamed, chastened, shamefaced, conscience-stricken, guilt-ridden

so I am asking for forgiveness, maybe just not in the right place.

what shall I do ?

No JOKES,

please accept my sincerest apology

I was wrong to bring up karma.

I am sorry for what I said.

He plays a mean berimbau, though.

The berimbau consist of a wooden stick which is strung with a steel string to form the bow shape, a gourd with an opening on one side which acts as a resonator, a coin or stone, a thin bamboo stick, and is played with a basket shaker called caxixi. As for the bowed instrument, the Amatis made plenty in the mid-16th C.As to the harp, it's ancient

The American Party Scene in the 19th Century
"What do I know? I know nothing."

It's still true today. We are grossly misled and unfortunately misinformed
as to actions of factions in days gone by.

It seems slavery doubled in the US because of the cotton gin.
More southern gents began raisin' more cotton, alienatin' more blacks by beatin' they backs,
but Django gonna git 'em, boy.

The Know-Nothing Party

Anbinder, Tyler. G. 1995. Nativism and Slavery: The Northern Know-Nothings and the Politics of the 1850s. New York: Oxford Univ. Press.

http://www.newenglishreview.org/custpage.cfm/frm/82009/sec_id/82009

Tyler Anbinder, a specialist in 19th Century American politics and a consultant for the film had this to say in an interview on the History News Network of NPR (December 23, 2002):

“Scorsese has over-dramatized the amount of bloodshed and death there would have been in a pre Civil War riot. There were a couple of riots like that one depicted in the movie between native born Protestants and Catholics in the neighborhood, but, at most, they resulted in a death or two, not the huge carnage you see in the scene.”

The slogan “No Irish Need Apply” was more common in England, especially London, where it was turned into a song.

A form of Knowing-Nothingism lives here in The Promised Land of Tacos.

In view of this, I'd like to quote Ari Shamron. "It's better to be a pickpocket than a mugger." (Thank you, Daniel Silva.)

I will be the first to admit I was perplexed by the film Gangs of New Yawk.
I had read the book, after all, and things just did not add up somehow.
I didn't like the acting of Daniel Day Lewis to begin with, but that is pure subjectivity on my part.

I had an equal amount of skepticism about the Priest's Son,
who was such an appealing model of nobility when played by such a matinee idol as Leonardo da Caprio.

In power struggles or in struggles to survive, lies come thick and fast from both sides.

Plus ca change.

It would be fascinating to see how our foreign contingent of posters view the antics of our vaunted Democraic System,
the so-called American Way.

R. Crumb had a field day with this type of thing, in his day.
The suddenly bloody fight between the Satirists of Paris and the rival gang,
the Muslim Fanatics, seems to be a latter-day version of the same sort of turmoil extant
in the time before the War for Southern Freedom.

And then there's the KKK. And the atrocities against the blacks is the most prominent feature of the Klan's dark history simply, I feel, because the Jews were too smart to stick around down in Dixie,
whereas the Negro Population were necessarily stuck in one place,
at least until Detroit became as accepting of them for their cheap labor as the Erie Canal builders had been of the Irish for the exact same reason.

This is not the place and time to go into all of this history, for it is far to complex (not to mention OFF TOPIC) to discuss here.

It is meant as balm for my buddy, my little brother, whom I don't want committing the same sins as rSin and having to pay the price of total ostracism and eventual banning.

Go now in peace to love and serve YOUR lord while I do my thing with mine.

Amen.

If you don't believe me, maybe you should watch this documentary from the archive of American dramatic historical events, University of the Tube.

I once asked Boomer, my dad, what he would like most if he could have it.
His quick reply was, "I'd like a Mercedes." He drove a Mecury Monterey, one of the US auto industry's attempts at an American Mercedes.

In my day, the Beemer was the hot item. I had to settle for a Chevette.

It doesn't apply just to golf, ya dingbat looper.

"Cinderella story, from outta nowhere. This shot could lose him the Masters."--Carl Spackler, Caddy Shack

[Click to View YouTube Video]Back in the day, golf was a bastion of civility and manners, codified by the USGA's rules of golf.

At the same time, there were no rules governing who could belong to golfing "clubs."
