That's a fine word, neebee. Technically, you needed an adjective, fruitful, maybe, patience yielding fruit in the manner of young Scott's getting better, for example.

His life has indeed been fruitioned.

His old clunker Chebby-car fell to me when he left the Valley in the eighties, thanks to Werner Braun. At the time, about all I knew of 'oor Scottie' was his routes on the back of Half Dome, like Autobahn. I never met him, but consider him a valuable person, despite any rancor and bitterness others may have toward him, I got no beef, therefore wish him a speedy, full recovery.

Here, I found this--
The recipient of two Presidential Civilian Bravery Commendations during his service on the Yosemite Search and Rescue Team for eight seasons, Scott, as part of a team, earned an Academy Award in 2005 when he received an Oscar for Technical Achievement for aerial camera rigging by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Scott is also an accredited member of the Wilderness Guides Association and a professional member of the American Mountain Guides Association as well as a PADI certified Rescue Diver.

Red, the bartender at Reinero's tonight, was wearing a T-shirt from the Bobcat folks, which reads thus:

"If we were any more local we'd be in your kitchen."

The following were taken in September last year and do not qualify for the Recent Sunsets thread. If they were any more local they'd be on my wall, not in my computer.

Yeah, that's me at age thirty-eight, almost an old man by certain scribes' standards. I'm thinking of Doug Robinson, just a few years older than I.

Gettin' back to the Doug Robinson thread without actually goin' there...

Many younger journalists haven't the foggiest of the history of their topics. They are assigned these and everyone hopes for the best, a lucky conjunction here and there, manner of speaking. The cub may have an interest, a GF who does this thing, or an old uncle who's just a weirdo who's been doin' it for however long. Otherwise, they know squat.

Fimrite of the Chronicle is a large exception here in NorCal. The only one of note.

So they set out to display their talents and we get to collapse in yukkage about their gauche treatment of the stars of our own private firmament.

It's silly to keep on thinking of our idols of our younger days as supermen and superwomen. They are at base just like us but gifted in the way they are. Many of the folks who had FAs of routes I have climbed or have wanted to climb and are listed in Roper's Green Guide, my old bible, have become acquainted with me and we have jived and boo-hooed together and even Boo-hugged on occasion, depending, mainly on whether we were visible, but we were drunk as heck and making the most of it so it's all good.

I've had a great time this past month. Thanks to all my buds.

Marfred is a dreadful name.

With their success one could argue about what's in a name.

All the same, vision-wise, I like this one, "Amorphica."

My friend Knuckles used to live in Lincoln Acres. I don't recall ever getting any free watermelons though.

Wonder how many watermelons you can put in a VW?

EDIT:

Keeping like things together, you know. Lincoln Acres is reputed to be a good place to get shot and/or murdered these days. More than likely, good place for some folks to have gotten murdered and/or ? back in 1926. I think the composition of the actual "murderer" class has changed with time.

Hit and runs come and go there and "sister cities", National City, Paradise [sic] Hills and Bay Terraces.

Officials ID Man Killed in National City Hit-and-Run

New details in deadly hit & run in Bay Terraces

What do the locals think you ask?

Estela Crz · Top Commenter · National Autonomous University of Mexico
this is what Mexican truck drivers do In mexico when they hit people in mexico, its a culture that they run away and then come back , you can find hundreds of accident stories where truck or bus verses people or cars and the drivers play dumb, as where this driver gets 10,000 grand its maybe due to owners owning a business, there should be justice o the accident victims family since this driver may leave town for good, story that he may not know he hit somebody doesn't wash sinc the tucks ar designed to see quite well

Jose Mendoza · Top Commenter · Research at INAMI
If he driver were black, asian or white they would be immediately arrested, but the driver being Hispanic they haven't due to nafta or it must be due to the normal conduct of truck drivers from mexico, and this driver repainting the tractor must be due to hime knowing what he did, and both the painter and the driver should be charged with this poor mans death immediately before he skips town and country

Statistically, however, it is still a lot more dangerous for pedestrians in and around downtown San Diego.

More fun to fly them out of Tyce and drop them on spots preselected for photographic purposes.

WAY more fun means of getting in Dutch.

Nobody would dare say sh!t about that phrase but God forbid we should get into Polish!

The idioms go Dutch (related to Dutch treat) and in Dutch (which uses Dutch to mean “trouble”) are both sometimes perceived as insulting to or by the Dutch. In addition, the adjective Dutch is found in a few other set phrases (Dutch courage, Dutch gold, and Dutch uncle) in which it implies that something Dutch is not authentic. Although insulting a particular person or nationality may be unintentional, it is best to be aware that use of these terms is sometimes perceived as offensive to or by the Dutch.
