a lonely heart grows cold and old

Think it over what you just said
think it over in your pretty little head
are you sure that I'm not the one
is your love real or only fun
you think it over - yes, think it over
a lonely heart grows cold and old
Think it over and let me know
think it over but don't be slow
just remember all birds and bees
go by twos through life's mysteries
you think it over - yes, think it over
a lonely heart grows cold and old
Think it over and think of me
think it over and you will see
a happy day when you and I
think as one and kiss the blues goodbye
you think it over - yes, think it over
a lonely heart grows cold and old

i think the last time I had Spam was when I was pretending to be a surfer grub at Pipes (this was indeed long ago, when I was famous)

and who was it said only girls just wanna have fun?

uh, could this be Jean-Paul on Bepto-bismal?

“I am going to outlive myself. Eat, sleep, sleep, eat. Exist slowly, softly, like these trees, like a puddle of water, like the red bench in the streetcar.”

Did you ever wonder, what happens after you fought the law and the law won?

Where is fattrad, if not asleep, perchance dreaming of the STaco?

once somebody gets over the existential dilemma, is the next problem that of co-existence?

from: http://www.strategicstudiesinstitute.army.mil/pdffiles/pub585.pdf

**GETTING MAD:
NUCLEAR MUTUAL ASSURED DESTRUCTION,
ITS ORIGINS AND PRACTICE**

Nearly 40 years after the concept of finite deterrence was popularized
by the Johnson administration, nuclear Mutual Assured Destruction
(MAD) thinking appears to be in decline. The United States has rejected
the notion that threatening population centers with nuclear attacks is a
legitimate way to assure deterrence. Most recently, it withdrew from the
Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, an agreement based on MAD. American
opposition to MAD also is reflected in the Bush administration’s desire to
develop smaller, more accurate nuclear weapons that would reduce the
number of innocent civilians killed in a nuclear strike.

With this regard their currents turn awry

As I was going up the stair
I met a man who wasn't there!
He wasn't there again today,
Oh how I wish he'd go away!

When I came home last night at three,
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall,
I couldn't see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don't you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door...

Last night I saw upon the stair,
A little man who wasn't there,
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away...

Simple twists of fate alright. I only know two people who got attacked, despite being around at the time.

In 1951, Jonas Salk, MD, and his team developed a method to cultivate polio virus in monkey kidney tissue in order to be able to produce large amounts of the vaccine. On Apr. 12, 1955 the results of the Salk vaccine trials showed the vaccine was 80-90% effective and the US government licensed the IPV (inactivated polio vaccine) vaccine the same day. The vaccination program was suspended on May 8, 1955 to investigate paralysis resulting from the vaccine injection; changes to the production method were made and vaccination resumed on May 27, 1955.

How is it that if one is not extant he is able to cogitate?

Point well taken, Mouse, if I do say so myself.

As to ceasing to exist, I've taken the path of just changing into someone else. I have a phone number for Safeway's 'loyalty' program sh#t that isn't real; whenever I have to shop in that awful place I enter the number but change the last digit or two. Most of the time I'm 'loyal' and that's where I've learned to grow.

Sometimes I become a woman, I was once Chinese; the other day I became Hispanic. It's always an amazing experience to have the cashier say something like 'thank you Mr. Chang' and realize you are no longer who you thought you were. I get to come home and tell my wife I've become someone she has never met. The sex can be quite interesting, as it's a new experience for her too; one day I came home and told her 'today I am a woman'. I strongly urge all of you to become someone else and expand your minds.

...the peculiar sensation began on the inside of two clear portholes. I was distinctly aware of thoughts. Who was I and who was the entity that thought this? Where did I come from? Clearly I was capable of thinking, but from where did the phenomenon extend from? I somehow moved the portals upward in an akward motion and perceived a transparent film before me. A hideous being faced me with a large cavity sunken into its upper malformed spherical extremity. A large sucking sound came from somewhere in the proximal area below me. Who was this being?...

MH2,

I am informed that:

.. it represents the crown of the Arahants (Enlightened Saints), the spiral stands for the crown at the center of the scalp, and the straight line pointing upwards, representing the straight path to Enlightenment without any wavering behavior that the Arahants have accomplished.
