It's true - "Life's a gift" and you never know when it will be over.
So it's good to get out there and enjoy it; I try to do that, too.
I guess the trick is how to do that without shortening it by too much, and how to balance in the work so you can also live long without running out of cash to also enjoy your old age at some level.

Clint, you're awesome.

My eKat... SistaLoveHoneyMoonSkyGoddess...Though we have not yet met, I love and adore you. I simply adore the Sam Lovin' Hell out of you.

Dingus... what the hell happened?!? I don't know!! But I do know I wanted you to enjoy your wonderful and much needed down time, I didn't want to bug ya. {smiles and smiles... and a thousand dancing feet)

Crock, you're gonna turn me into a tear filled wuss with your kind words! (thank you, crock... thank you... you've been so very supportive. YOU are important to us... Very important.) ~xx

this just in ... I AM beyond happy things went as they did, and I will NEVER again ignore my health. Ever. Thank you for your kind words... thank you. (thank you)

I am now officially a great big wuss! But a healthier one.

You and your aunt sure do have a striking familial resemblance!

Hope you're rested, over your illness, and ready to chase some more sunsets.

Marlow, that was quite beautiful visually and I liked the Haiku at the end... thank you. {smiles}
(I actually watched it several times, allowing myself to get lost in the movement.)

t*r ~ Thank you for the flowers, sweetie. {smiles and smiles}
I too am glad I finally gave in and went to seek medical care. It gave me peace of mind, and provided peace of mind to my friends who were aware of what was truly going on. I AM feeling better...even made a venture to our local Safeway last evening. The more activity I did the more my body told me to "slow down". I woke this morning, after a good nights sleep, and listened to my body which said "hey... stop it young lady... you're moving too fast." Listening to my body, I decided to stay home. Ibuprofen is still not touching the pain in my ear or neck, but I am thrilled the headache is gone. Beyond thrilled. I've not left the house today, but what I can tell it's another beautiful day in the desert.

Are you sure you don't have the flu? Were you running a fever?

Hi Dingus...

I do not have the flu... yay! (I don't think I do....ER docs never mentioned me having the flu. To be fair though, they were ruling out stroke, though I am certain if I had the flu they would have let me in on the news).
It's funny that you asked about having a fever. When we got to the ER I did not have a fever. 5 hrs into the visit the ER RN's reassessed everyone and when my turn came I DID have a fever. ????? (Actually, all my vitals changed, popping me "up the list", which really meant nothing.) {smiles}

I do not have the flu. I refuse to have the flu. I have too much sh#t to do to have the flu!

Dingus... you shall be the Flower Girl.

I say that with total love, blue eyes.

(for reals, even though I cannot type it out with a straight face)

Edit: t*r... may Dingus be the flower girl?!?!?!

Leggs,

Pretend you do have the flu, and take it easy.

It hurts a lot less than pushing yourself and discovering that you did.

Maybe watch a good movie?

a western wedding, because i am going to marry a cowboy :)

Alrighty, then. . . if you're marrying a cowboy, then it has to happen up here in the deep and immense beauty of rural Montana.

You won't have to spend much on flowers, this place is covered with them!

I had the flu back at beginning of December. There were three symptoms of note:

1. Pain. Everywhere, including one of the worst and most persistent headaches I've had in years.
2. Fever.
3. Swollen throat (glands) - painful to touch.

That was it. No upset stomach, no digestive tract issues, no congestion, no runny nose. Just pain and fever....

You know Crock, that IS actually what I DO need to do. As i mentioned earlier on, the mere act of going to Safeway last evening and shopping kind of wiped me out. I did nap for about two hours earlier this morning (after waking at 5:45am for work) and can feel my curly head telling me to stop being so "awake". There is that stubborn aspect of my personality that thinks "if you don't have a raging fever and are not hurling, go balls out!". I believe I need to rethink this, because as the day goes on, the more worn out I feel. (Good advice, I shall listen! thank you friend)

Kath, your flowers are sooooo pretty!! I love 'em.

t*r... I think you need to get married in Montana.

Dingus... Seriously, the doctors never did address if even had a COLD. Their goal was to determine I didn't have a stroke.
I would be lying if I said I felt GREAT right now, because I truly don't. I DID stay home today from work, so I think THAT'S a step in the right direction!

Docs can be as myopic as the next person leggs.

When I broke my neck I also had a nasty abrasion on my elbow with glass embedded in it. When they discharged me from the hospital I STILL had an open wound on my arm with glass in it. No one in Spinal ICU even remotely thought to check it... and I bear a sizable scar to this day too.

Anyway, there's no real treatment even if you did have the flu.

Get well leggs.

And. . . just in case you haven't found your cowboy, yet . . . maybe you need to come up here and go leanin' with me. . . you wouldn't believe how many DARLING young cowboys play up on Big Mtn!

They pull up to the ski area in their big ass duallies - couple bales of hay in the back - usually a Border collie or two. . . and they park the rig, hop out, kick off their cowboy boots, pull on some leanin' clothes, swap Stetson for helmet, grab whatever they lean on (both kinds-a-leanin' - ghey tray and skeez) and fire to the lifts.

Completely cracked me up when I first moved up here. I FULLY did not expect cowboys to lean!

:-)

WOOT!
