Ha! Moose, Did any of her neighbors wonder what the hell was going on??

Not that I am aware of. lol

My daughter's comment: "Now I understand why they have those seemingly off the wall signs, and expecting a new one, "No Kayaking in the Fountain!".

Thank you, Splitter... that is a HUGE compliment. I always thought my mom was so pretty, and much to young to have lost her battle to cancer.

I am currently 41.5 and every year I pass the age of 35, I feel blessed to have the gift of life.

You do look like your mom, Leggs...and from your posts, appear to be as beautiful on the inside as you are on the out.

I lost my dad to cancer when I was 11, and though time might help us to cope with it, I think most of us never truly heal from such a loss. We just bumble along the best we can with these huge holes in our hearts...and count our blessings for having such an amazing parent in our lives for even that short of a time.

Big hug to you on this day, my friend.

Gawd Kath--I watched Peter Kaye in that vid and almost wet my spandex laughing!!! My stomach hurts I was laughing so hard. Thanks for posting it.

Leggs, thought of you this past week when our show took a close-to-home turn. You've survived so much.

If you can spare two hours today, I found a warm and fuzzy Julian Fellows Netflix film, resembling The Secret Garden, where a young boy awaits word on his WWII MIA dad. Fellows weaves in Downton cast members Lord Grantham, Dowager and Branson. Film title: From Time to Time.

Hi Sullly! I always think about you, esp. on Sundays.
Thank you for the suggestion... I think I CAN spare two hours, AND I have Netflix!

I hope to cut out of work a bit early and hit up my boulder to climb and catch the sunset. Peaceful place...

Thank you for your wonderfully kind words, Sullly... you always make me smile. Always. Stay remarkable.

"L" ... Your words, I couldn't have said it better, at all.
I too am sorry for the loss of your father at such a tender age. The pain never goes away, esp as we hit milestones in our lives. Huge holes in our hearts....hard to swallow.
The blessings of the times we had with them is priceless.

Thank you, L, for your kind, thoughtful words. *hugs to you*

Hi Moose friend... she does live inside me, 100%. Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it.

The ones we've loved and have lost do make us pause, and hopefully, hug and appreciate those around us even more.

Hugs to you, Andrzej ~

On the day of my mother's passing, it was MLK Day and my brother and I happened to be home from school. With in-home hospice in place, we knew mom was in the best hands, and free of pain. I am blessed to have been home that day, and to have been by her side as she took her last breaths.

I think about her passing and the times the holes in my heart have been so big, I've been brought down right to my knees in grief. With that said, I would not be the woman or mother I am today without experiencing this loss or grief. It caused me to become a mother who EVERY SINGLE DAY told my Pickle how much he was loved and selected quality time over material items to show my appreciation for him. I still tell Pickle, every day, in one way or another, how very much I love him. That's why this thread starts off with a photo (or 3) of my kid.

always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life

Sitting in my hotelroom after a day of holding meetings,
I wasn't able to reach down to take my shoes off.
When I finally got them off anyway, I realised wouldn't be able to put them back on.
And then the real realisation dawned upon me.
Dinner!
Sh#t. No dinner tonight.

But...
always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life

Roomservice! :-D
