I love this photo, Kath... my heart to you for the loss of Kerry... *phew* There really are no words, actually, just know that I shall walk for her tomorrow in the All Souls Procession, and she will be with us.

Tomorrow is the All Souls Procession here in Tucson, which is all about celebrating Life...
I will be walking for my mom, Gloria Martinez, my Grandmother, Ruth Pina, my Auntie, Ruth Martinez, Cinda, Travis, Kerry, CREEEEES and my young friend, Giovanni who lost his battle to cancer at age 5, only 9 months ago.
Enjoy Life, please!

Hi Sullly! The All Souls Procession IS an amazing experience, and the biggest community gathering in Tucson.
Here is a link to the procession in 2011, as it heads up the 4th Ave underpass, currently under construction, which means the route this year has changed.
If you skip to 10:19 on this video, you will see a Blue Globe, which is the Lauffer/Lopez family float to celebrate the life of Cinda, my girlfriend taken too soon by cancer. Her uncle, Randy, is my best friend. She was a world traveler, thus the Globe theme... Beautiful.

Nate and Eli finished 7th of 12 and 4th of 32 respectively.
I did ok in the old guy's class and after a quick 'dirt nap' was good as new!

I understand why you would take the photo of Kerry down... 100%, esp considering the circumstances in which Kerry passed on. Breaks my beating heart for you and your family, my friend. Bless you for being the wonderful woman you are. {smiles}
I refuse to look at photos of my mother ill with cancer, esp since she passed at the age of 35, 5 years younger then I currently am. Every year I surpass 35, I am so thrilled. Literally, thrilled. Every day I wake up, I am thrilled, even when times are tough... esp. when times are tough.
