I knew one day I'd have the best tan on the beach, I just had to drive up to the PNW to realize the dream.

Now that made me laugh.. heh heh

Leggs, I can only thank you for posting on The Flames. Sorry that I resorted to subterfuge like I did, but it worked and you won one twenty-five hundredths of whatever income is generated from the sale of the book that I intend to write based on The Flames and their thread.

Nobody posting knew!

As for myself, always,
I've been lurking here and lurking there,
Enjoying life everywhere.

Nothing about life is OT.

This thread is an oasis of Nice
In an ocean of Interesting Things
With very cool vibes.

Thanks from The Flames, the Flames mammas, and
as my cool friends are often known to say, "Flame on, Lady Leggs, flame on."

Those big octopus kites cast cool shadows.

That was my first attempt at kite-on-kite photography. I was disappointed that I missed my target repeatedly - I was trying to get aerial pics of the actual kites themselves, not their shadows - but the more I looked at the shots I got, the more I liked them.

Finishing up. Just got pics of my folks' neighbors' houses, and I had to get a shot of myself and my faithful KAP assistant.

Dragging down the kite.

Thanks for that vote of confidence, Dean!

If you like those, you'll LOVE these:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/kiteaerialphotography/pool/

That's a link to what my kite aerial photography ( KAP ) compadres around the world are doing.

Every shot on that page was taken by someone's camera swinging from an airborne kite. Some are better than others, but the good ones are great.

Be sure to scroll down at least far enough to check out Scott's awesome shot of The Statue Of Liberty.

Sitting at the game last night, this kid behind us was pretty funny. He said hey, and I turned. Epic photo bomb! He texted it to me. Good times.

Chaz, is your dobie trained as a kite runner? Nobody'd mess with him.

Very picturesque, Sully. Liked them all.

Doppio, please.

Yeah, M from M., nobody bothers my stuff:

Ron, those big octopus kites are damn cool. You need to see them live. Their "tentacles" have an other-worldly movement to them.
