Meh… I’d rather go say hi to Ed at the market and grab a burrito, some fresh guacamole, a quart of whole milk, and some Tasty Bites.

It's always a pleasure to stop at the MoMart. If I'm there, it means I have just finished, or am on my way to, an adventure.

I'm just glad nobody has mentioned the Tiger Bar. If the Mobil's Patchouli-and-Patagonia horde ever takes over that venue, the East Side may as well be the West Side. E Clampus Vitus!

Seems like I filled up with gas at this place. I don't know if the Mobil was there the last time I was in Lee Vining.

"From 2006 until the recent opening of Toomey’s Carry-Out, Toomey famously delighted Mammoth regulars with his gourmet food served in out-of-the-box settings, such as his original Whoa Nellie Deli, a seasonal pop-up restaurant attached to a gas station that grew into a local landmark. His patrons quickly became loyal followers and friends who returned time and time again for signature dishes including Coconut Mascarpone Pancakes, Lobster Taquitos, and Toomey’s own favorite: the Green Monster Smoothie. "
Toomey has closed the Whoa Nellie Deli to focus his attention full time at Toomey’s Carry-Out
So some got their wish. Back to hot dogs....

Definitely with Russ on this one, Ive been over the Mobil for quite some time. After falling prey to the fad and spending sh#t tons of money in there, their sh#t is overpriced even by LV standards and they treat everyone like a bunch of euro tourists. Whoever is patronizing your place, you should at least fake being nice for crying out loud. TPR, nicelys, and mono mart get my $ these days. Mono mart has the bomb burritos always ready anyhow. Waaay better. Patronize them instead

revisionism is in vogue this month
the Mobil had legitimately good food; I don't recall flinching at the prices either (can't say I'm a dirtbag these days though)
it always beat Mountain House or "Kamandu Curry" or white bread and jerky from the local gas station

Nope, mr oaksterdam, youre wrong....its because they have the best meatloaf sammich, coconut cream pie,and they are personable and nice, not too cool to speak a syllable to you as they take your order and deliver your food.
Nice guess though. Keep trying, you'll figure us out. You know you wanna be half as cool as me. Its all about who appears cooler.
