Loomis: know that planet well, when's the next trip?

Blast-off is April 19-24. We expect a journey of around 3,876 years to reach a destination so removed from the Mussy Nebula. We're hoping there will be no problems with the suspended animation. Things got a little stinky last trip.

Quite a few of those old Leepers set by the Ancient Ones have been replaced, like here on The Deceiver Wall:

One of my prized posessions is a copy of Baca's guidebook.

Tarbuster, is that the summit of Brokeback Mountain?

done it, can't remember a name, up on the hill a bit.

i'm no PMB but i grew up in north county san diego. put in my time at woodson, santee, places since 'subdivided', etc. and alot of places nobody has heard about.

one has to move away to appreciate the quality of rock insane diego. don't miss the ticks and manzanita though.

heard yesterday, from traveling loc's, that the santee boulders are finally done for. scheduled for condo's?

ok hooterbot and pro-drinker-man, name this puppy:

hint: it's near a very-well-known dick cilley prob, has two bolts on top that some sacless wonder installed.

btw, yeah, it's the nameless los coaches splitter. did it last spring. it's still GOOD.

and while we wait for our scholars to ponder this question, let's drink a toast to these two finely-tuned athletes on the verge of greatness:

bvb-- Oooohhh! oohh! I think I know where this is. Isn't this climb near the old dirt road scar cleared eon's ago just below Baby Robbins to the south. I used to go this way all the time to Baby Robbins and Jaws. Name of climb, who know's???

By the way, you captured Sasquatch on film just above OW's head in that ancient photo.

HV-- Please tell me this isn't true concerning Santee Boulders. I was woking with Dr. Chuck Berry (UCSD), of Sierra Club RCS fame, in PB, in the mid '90s concerning saving Santee Boulders from the developers. The land owners are a consortium called "East Elliot Planning Community" named after the old Army training base that used to be there in WW2. One of the owners is none other than Dr. Coad and another guy that owns an exterminating company I think in La Mesa. Randy Vogel got involved then and wrote a letter to the land owners concerning liablity laws to calm their fears. Went to several of those planning meetings at Rick Engineering. They definately know about the climbing on Santee Boulders. Sounds like I need to get back involved and find out what's up. I haven't been. Is the Access Fund involved? We need to get on this. Please let me know what you heard. Santee boulders is a real treasure, and now I even know more of it's history thanks to all this time we've been blowing at SuperTaco. Like the fact that some of the first bouldering contests ever where held here, and just about all of the Stonemasters made it down to climb at Santee Boulders at some time or other. And all the history and beta that bvb, DW, Greg C. and WL have on the place.

I used to have nightmares about losing Santee Boulders back then when I was involved working with Chuck (Charles) to save it and going to those meetings. Pretty stressful. At that time they were planning on developing around it and setting it off as open space. What has changed? I need to know. Damn it. My previous job before becoming a HS science teacher was working in environmental consulting, and I had my ear to the ground real well at the time.

Klimmer, for that ancient rare pic of BVB in the alpine, I'm behind the camera, not in the picture. That's Wayne Kamera, actually the weekend we met him. Wayne's put in his time all over the west, I shouldn't be surprised if some of you cyber figments have met him sometime or other.

Horrible about Santee if that's a done deal, I love that place.
