'taint spring break. there just ain't enough in that pic to i.d. the route. klimmer -- you say the route is visible in the pic to the left of the climber? so, we're looking for a face climb? is this "mystery route" on the boulder he's rapping, or the one behind and to his right with the big tree behind it?

Look up at previuos post. See edit.

Edit: did I ever say it was "visible"? I never used those words.

Klimmer, it's only been climably frozen once in twenty some years. Problem is when it gets that cold in the lowlands it's usually clear, and it's a south facing black cliff. Gotta be teens and lower but cloudy, rare conditions in SW Washington.

Can you pick out the climb back-lit to the left of Tim Umstead

well, that statement implies there is a climb visible to the left of the climber, right?

ok then, let's say he's rapping off the boulder with the crucible and the test tube. that would match up with the boulder and the big tree in the background. but why is he rapping off? and what is this "back-lit" thing you are talking about?

Off White:
I especially like your upthread "Happy Place" belay bench shot.

Loomis:
Your bouldering pic must be Petit Grepon in RMNP then?
Maybe the Saber is what we see, which is just right of PG.

At any rate, per Prague, no pic here, but years ago in an early issue of "Wired " magazine, there was a really cool piece of street art shown. It was a bronze-like unicycler, positioned on a high wire which was stetched between buildings and across a street. Must be a pretty cool city...

Ding, ding, ding. Yes it is Crucible to the right of Test-tube, and it's just barely out of sight (maybe?) .

Why did he rap?, because we where practicing our skills!! Damn those Premium Miniatures (TM by bvb), which by the way are awesome. We were practicing all our skills for the really big stones to come.

Back-lit only referred to the light quality in the image.

OK, so it was a little challenging but you were so hot, and then you went so cold. Weird sheeite happens in the Neb.

Edit: bvb-- you're first intuition was very good. Should have stuck with it ;-))

OK, now I can only assume the hardest to determine dark & super vague images are going to get thrown out from now on. What have I started? I'm sooooo ashamed.

I can see it now, "I'm shooting an image of my feet, where am I?"
