Photo tip!
If you've got a link that is actually a file, like
http://www.climbingwashington.com/archives/images/archive63.jpg

All you have to do is surround the file name with "img tags" which are this (img) photo.jpg (/img) BUT change the ( ) to [ ] (sorry can't post that directly, the software thinks it's a photo tag) it and the photo will post on the page.

Sweet pics everyone.

Great Thread & great photos everyone! Thanks for a Christmas Day climbing fix.

Here's Chalkjockey leading Bloody Fingers at City of Rocks in early Nov. 2010.

Altieboo, loved the video. I remembered those pin scar pinches and could almost feel that immaculate stone on the second pitch. Hey I think I clipped that ring angle back in the seventies. Cool stuff. Bummer the battery went down.

Didn't there used to be a small tree growing out of the crack at the top of the second pitch of serenity?

Hoh man! Got my first taste of the Pirate recently.

Thin crack? Yes. Thin slab? Oh my, Yes. The points you can actually get anything in...cuticles, are the easy bits. And once you get any actual locks, it's cruiser. But damn the bottom 30' are sustained micro, micro edging and a complex dance of hands beta with sidepulls, thumb sprags, pretend tips jams, thumb presses, palming, and credit card crimps with a few steeper parts where the feet disappear for a couple feet providing the cruxes.

Was able to do it off the dog on the first burns, but to be dialed enough to lead it will take some (a lot more) work.

Props to whoever was on it in the few days before me. Lots of feet ticked on the bottom half, but with tiny marks, all of which were invisible from below at the base but perfectly visible while climbing. A masterpiece of discreet ticking! Well done, whoever you are.
