I stayed up late last night looking at the sheet music for the Wish You Were Here album, hearing the music in my head while my eyes studied how to play it.
I really like Shine On You Crazy Diamond from the Delicate Sound of Thunder live album.

This post immediately got my attention. It's been a big production month at Fish Products..... we started many a day with the fantastic 25:48 minute Medley remix by The Orb. All your favorites some with a funky groove just make you hungry for more.
PF classics, the Orb remixes and don't forget about the London Philharmonic Orchestra...we don't discriminate....they're all just too good!
In triple backup our iTunes library for PF is a non-stop play of 155 songs taking a full 15:09:15 minutes. When the last song plays we shut 'er down. But as you all know.....the show must go on.

All you need is the stomach for authorizing credit card transactions to Byelorussia. I've not had any problems and used it for at least a year (and maybe for a while 5 years before that).

Pink Floyd is like that- generations thinking it is about drugs or drug music..when it is in fact deeper than anything I have ever studied
Absolutely.
It may be a lie, but I've been told Gilmour has said that he only tripped once.
The music is not about drugs, rather the lyrics are metaphors.
Stoners confuse things too easily.
Pure beauty.

Here's the backstory and demo from Comfortably Numb, pre-lyrics:

As far as Syd, there were almost certainly some preexisting mental health issues; the overindulgence seems to have edged him off a jib when he was probably bound to peel anyway. Seen that happen before, pretty easy to get causes and effects switched around.

I have first-hand experience with hallucinogens being the final straw to a very unpleasant mental melt down.

I thought you might like that, Riley.

I can really relate to what Billy Corgen said, especially since we are the same age.

I took the boys (Labs 11 yrs and 4 months) for a walk on a breezy Tahoe afternoon. They romped and sniffed while I listened to Dark Side of the Moon. The lyrics juxtaposed with watching Monty limping along with his arthritis and Huxley running circles around us with a pup's boundless energy was very thought provoking. Even though they are only able to be with us for a short while, dogs sure don't fixate on "Time" - getting old or mortality. They go after it every day to their limit. Seems to be a message in all of that.
All - Have a Happy and Safe Weekend and go after it a bit. Or, engage in the other favorite Labrador pastime - snoozing under the "Fat Old Sun."
