Doh, how could I leave out Hendrix in my quick summary... and Stevie Ray Vaughn (Riviera Paradise!). Just reinforcing k-man's assessment that it's too hard to put labels on who's the "best." But it's fun to try. Signing off for the night, going to pump some plastic at Berkeley Ironworks.

I saw PF twice, once in 1970 at the Santa Monica Civic. This was right after they had released Meddle. The venue only held 5K people, so the atmosphere was pretty intimate. The next time was in 72 at the Hollywood Bowl where they performed Dark Side of the Moon for the first time iirc. Both times were pretty surreal, not to mention highly "electric"

The guitar solo(2nd one, I think) in
Comfortably Numb is cinsistently at the top
of the "Best Guitar Solos of All Time" lists.
Usually battling Stairway for #1.

I'm a big Animals fan.

Saw that tour in 88-89. (Edit: 87? When was that?)
So rad!

Ya, so many great guitar solos floating in this universe.

{Kinda OT, but here goes...}

One of the lesser-known rips is Rob Fetters here with The Bears:

Fear is Never Boring

Happens to be one of my favorite 'climbing lyric' songs, with great phrases like:

Oh no trouble now
Are your nerves failing
Donít come unglued
If your heart skips a beat
Stay on your feet
Donít throw that moment away

one note about the Hollywood Bowl show was they had at least 10 or more search lights shining up behind the bowl, equally spaced apart, which created a awesome sunburst effect.

I stayed up late last night looking at the sheet music for the Wish You Were Here album, hearing the music in my head while my eyes studied how to play it.

I really like Shine On You Crazy Diamond from the Delicate Sound of Thunder live album.

This post immediately got my attention. It's been a big production month at Fish Products..... we started many a day with the fantastic 25:48 minute Medley remix by The Orb. All your favorites some with a funky groove just make you hungry for more.

PF classics, the Orb remixes and don't forget about the London Philharmonic Orchestra...we don't discriminate....they're all just too good!

In triple backup our iTunes library for PF is a non-stop play of 155 songs taking a full 15:09:15 minutes. When the last song plays we shut 'er down. But as you all know.....the show must go on.
