If this is redundant, please redirect me. History that can't be beat; may have the most Beckey routes of any state, save Washington. Arguably the best crack climbing in the world (except for Vedauwoo), worldclass ice in Provo and Ogden. Rockclimbing? 'merican forks, jaoe's valley, maple, those tourist friendly climbing resorts along I-15, but also Big wallin' in zion, and again the desert.

Surely a State deserving love, stories and photos!

What else?

Jaybro, the amount of snow on top of the tent does not do it justice. We probably had 6-8inches and damb near got stuck in beef basin as the road turned to porrage. It was quite an adventure as I-70 was clsoed due to a semi sized whole in the bridge by Glennwood springs and had to detour a couple of hundred miles on wintery roads. This led to us doing some pretty knarly 4 weeling through the creek in that old toyota below the damb. Also checked out the awsome ruins off the road, but I can't access the pictures now will try later. Then skied 2 ft of fresh powder in the Abhoes(spelling?)We did get a few climbs is including the awesome Bunny Slope, 140ft of Twos. I am sure it was a pretty interesting trip for my 9 year old's time to Moab.

Nope, didn't bring any gear and regretted it the whole way. Planning on a trip next spring when the water is high and bringing a bigger boat. I did the trip in a 4 pound pack raft and taking gear would have been tough.
I heard there story in Climbing about the area recently. Kind of bummed but in reality those formations are so far off the beaten path that they will probably never get "crowded".

Timid Toprope,
I found some amazing pictographs and petroglyphs in a canyon near the Saline Valley. Red hand prints high on a overhanging wall. Thousands of glyphs. All in a canyon that I can find no info on. Went to the Eastern Sierra museum and asked the glyph expert there and she had no clue about the area. I remained a little nebulous about the location like I am now but if you are interested email me and I can send you some pictures.

Sorry to get off track but here are a few pictures of the canyon in the Mojave I was talking about.
This is just avery small sampling of glyphs in a very narrow slot canyon to the east of the Saline Valley. Some of the hand prints are at least 40 feet off the ground leading me to believe the floor of the canyon has been washed away over the centuries.
