Roger, checked at church bowl and knob hill when I was out in the Valley. No dice, a new sparkly for her I guess. Best of luck.

Here is a picture of muscle memory me on Bishop's Balcony climbing without my ring.

After I reported it lost on this thread, Anders searched at the bases of the places we climbed and found this note on the bulletin board at Camp 4. Looks like a time warp shot of the Camp 4 Bulletin Board--Tucker Teck?

Max had left site 6 by the time Anders arrived.

Where was Max? Denise knew Matty. Matty knew Max. But....

Where was Max?

Anders knew Max worked at Alpenglowgear. Roger called Alpenglowgear. Travis tracked down Max. Max called Roger.

Max Lurie, ring-finder, sender-backer extraordinaire. Also a bold first time climber to the Valley: How so, you ask? He and his partner decided that the Nose was an obvious line. Climbed to the top of El Cap Towers. Came down and started up the Salathe. Jean Noel's accident brought him down.

Ringless, but hopeful.

Anticipation.

Here it is!

Thanks everyone, especially Anders, Denise, and Travis, and most especially Max Lurie.

Roger,

You are one of the fortunate few.... nice to have the taco stand out on the hunt for the
"needle in a hay stack. A rather amazing end to the search.

Glad to hear it,

Now whatever will I do with all the paperwork?
The original notice, with added information. Max had left site #6, but someone knew he worked at Alpen Glow in Bar Harbour. My notes upside down - nothing much new there.
Paper at the Visitor Centre.
From the alternative DNC universe in Yosemite.

Should this stuff go to the Yosemite Climbing Museum now?

Suh-weet.

Now I won't give up hope that someone will find mine on the bottom of Clear Lake and somehow figure out whose it is.

Roger,

You realize this was all pre-planned; a true conspiracy put into action in order for you to up-grade the rock for your wife.

A well executed " Mission Improbable" episode, more mysterious than the old TV series and much more entertaining than the Tom Cruise movies of the same name.

Fantastic story at any rate! (I still have my wedding band but my wife disappeared years ago.)
